Great welcoming Church with the mission To honour God by leading people to become fully-devoted followers of Jesus Christ. They have age specific program allowing the entire family to grow toward God.

Hillside is a great place to raise a family... The staff and volunteers go out of their way to connect and help grow our faith through programs, resources, opportunity to share prayer requests and ways to get involved. We love it at Hillside and hope you do too!

We came to this church, checking if this would be our new church home.It will not be.Giving credit where credit is due: The church facility is beautiful and the presentation factor is polished and top notch; unfortunately, however, attending a service with this church is like going on a date with a pretty girl and realizing that she has no personality: It’s lovely to look at but lacks on the inside.We came to this church and found ourselves some seats, caught eyes with many people looking at us, none of which actually greeted us or made us feel welcome. Even the pastor of the church stopped and spoke to the families in front of us and behind us, but looked at us and moved right on to the people that he knew with not even as much as a “good morning”.The only people who acknowledge us was an usher who asked us to make room for another family to get by us to get to their seats.Very disappointing, especially when they repeatedly mentioned, during the service, about their passion to reach out to their community, yet they don’t seem to make an effort to make the community feel welcome; even when my wife had to find a water fountain during a coughing fit, she was simply met with people staring at her and no offers of assistance.The church is not without their great features, but it felt very much like style of substance, and while that certainly can work for many people, we will continue looking for a church that is more welcoming to the community.This church can be something great, and I’m sure that it is to many, but please take this critique and make the needed changes to make it truly great.

The staff at Hillside Baptist are not only some of the friendliest people you will ever meet, they also care deeply for each and every person that enters their doors. Everyone is welcome with an honest 'come as you are' motto and a 'Jesus is the reason' attitude. The worship is real and family focused with something for everyone from infants to seniors. They have especially good children's programming with ministry based activities running nearly everyday of the week. There's always something going on and always someone there for you. It's a place you can truly call home.

One of their pastors (Dave Steeves), also a city councillor, is on record talking about the area's struggles with homelessness and addiction: If we do make it difficult to live on our streets

God moves here the worship team is amazing they start every service in a fantastic way you can really feel the presence or the Lord here. They have 2 services on sunday morning at 9 am and 11am makes it very convenient to come. The pastors and people at this church really care about everyone who comes. Not just a church but a family.

Family oriented. Lots of programs at 9 am and 11 am for nursery, primary, middle and high school ages. 'Growth groups' for adults and even a daily fitness class at 6 & 6:45 am!! Something for every age group ti get involved and network with your peers!

This is an amazing, faith-filled church with soul rich worship and insightful messages. Kids programming from cradle to college. 10/10

I visited today, April 02, 2023. A beautiful Facility. My daughter, her husband and my grand children attend here. The Grandchildren have found it a great help in their Christian living. They love the encouragement, fellowship and growth they have received. They have received Christ as Savior and look forward to being with their church family. Like the old Hymn sang, what a Wonderful change in my life You have wrought; since Jesus came into my heart"."
