Here an amazing experience! After 34 years, I returned today to Cantine Normandin near my old high-school. The hot-dogs and poutine tasted EXACTLY the same as I remember them. Not only that it brought back tender memories but it also brought a tear to my eye... now, that’s emotions! Was so excited to see they had fried chicken and even had a fun play on words to highlight their friend chicken so any sane person would expect great fried chicken! (And I sure has a hankering)Ladies bathroom doesn't lock (first impression)...Prices were fair, but then received three tiny pieces of fried chicken with a tiny mound of fries (explained the price)...The chicken was so dry, you could hear it tear as you try to pry it off the bone...Mayo turned out to not be mayo, it was miracle whip. Not a fun misconception to run into.Could not eat more than half of the chicken even if they were tiny pieces.Also, locals seem to rave about the fries... I don't get it.Gunna go find another place to eat now, still hungry.To the owners: this place has great potential! Please put more love into it and reconsider your portions! Fix the lock on the bathroom door and pay a little extra for real mayo!

Love the poutine fantastic and cheese burger but the person that servied me didn’t even crack a smile I felt like I was disturbing her felt very out of place and I was so excited to try the poutine but she shot the joy right out of it so yeah just moved here and hope my experience will be a little better next time
