My review here is for the newly built infrastructure rather to the organization that run it. The facility is well built and clean entertainment environment for kids and adults. It contains a lot of fun activities, including basketball courts. I believe some space/rooms are available to be rented for public to organize their planned activities, like birthdays. The facility also has a small food and drink accommodation spot for kids and adults, but it's service is needed much improvement.

I visited here for a meeting. The front desk clerk was very polite and I was escorted into the community room where we shared in focus groups our ideas on how to solve a few problems. All in all it was a very productive day. The facilitator was an experienced core focused person who made sure the timeline was met and people stayed on track in their focus groups.

Very bad review not a good look reviews or not so I can see why people hog on to cases people can't get out of. Many flaws, useless stalking, favoritism, sexualizing minors, treating the proven abuser as a friend, the list goes on.DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE TALK TO CHILDREN! DO NOT TRUST! Maybe the person you will meet is the same as your concerns and that is that is the true reality, don't expect them to lose their job either bc they haven't and they are there for many years. Stop letting them into traumatized children's lives and expose your kids to love rather than whatever this is called. I am not the only one so throw it under the bus all you guys like but the evilness has been exposed and will continue to be.

Very unprofessional agency. Someone called on me with false accusations and malicious intent due to a split with a relative.I was told that once the case was closed I would be sent a letter of closure which would allow me to review my file. Once I have my file I can proceed to press charges.I've been waiting months for someone to send me this letter. I've called and was told it was already closed. So where is my letter and what are your workers doing to ensure we are not forgotten about!

DO NOT CALL BEGGING FOR HELP!! THEY WILL NOT BE THERE FOR YOU OR THE CHILD!I called FACS, begging for help. They never even so much as looked at my evidence. They are not here to help anyone. My child is in danger and they will not even look at the evidence I have of this. It took them three and a half weeks to finally meet me.

Not sure how they operate now but historically the female social workers here have a tendency to side with women during custody disputes, even when they know the women is in the wrong. Completely useless to dads - no point calling them they won't believe what you say anyways. I'm not surprised that they get such a bad rep.A local msw social worker once told me Wilfrid Laurier profs did a research study and wrote a book about this place, how they operate under quotas and hire social workers who don't have any University degrees. I was personally being stalked by one of their social workers. Such a corrupt organization.

My review will be seen as biased because we are a foster family. They're an amazing organization considering that family wellbeing is not an easy thing. This agency does its best to stay focused on the best interest of the children and their families. Let's keep in mind that they are governed by the Ministry and their standards.

It depends on the worker. Some are better then others. They can be hurtful and kick your confidence and make you feel worthless. I would recommend finding support when dealing with this agency. It's a shame because at the end of the day, you can do the best you can and that's all you can do. We all face obstacles and challenges and it's a shame when your worker doesn't see things from your perspective and you don't understand theirs. It makes it nearly impossible to be successful.

Operated under quotas, meaning that they have to apprehend a set number of children every year in order to recieve funding from thr government. They are funded well which means they get the best lawyers. Their lawyers often end up being assigned as judges in courts which means they continue to support the quota system. It's by far the single most corrupt organization to exist in the Waterloo Region.
