I had the pleasure of hosting my workshop at The Commons this past weekend. The venue is amazing, the decor is gorgeous and the staff go above and beyond to accommodate all of your needs. I have used The Commons in the past for business meetings and business photos and this time had the pleasure of experiencing the striking Hemingway room. Thank you to Erynn and Shelby for your top notch service. I will be back!

Wow, when it comes to stunning interiors it does not get much dreamier than this amazing event space! Gorgeous historical architecture and tall ceilings, with contrasting walls of soft white and exposed brick! Can you say SWOON!?! The Commons is one of our favourite event spaces in downtown Calgary! We had the opportunity to do a wedding inspired shoot there that was featured on both the Green Wedding Shoes Blog and the Rocky Mountain Bride Blog! Check out the photos below!

This space is great but very noisy. Between the studio next door and the loud air system for heat/air it's very hard to hear for anyone with hearing loss like myself. Nice access though and clean washrooms. A great meeting space regardless of the sounds. They do good things here. Parking is available as well.

Our annual office Christmas party was held at the Hemingway Room.We used Chair Flair to organize our event and Urbane Culinary Corporation for catering. All vendors came together beautifully to create an event that will be remembered by my Team for a long time.We will definitely be back for future events!

Great venue, great staff. We had our office Christmas party here and would have it here again. Classy look too.

Had our reception at the Commons Calgary last weekend. This venue is absolutely beautiful. It take very very little decor to create a beautiful look. Location is great, free parking (depending on the time of your event) and easy for your guests to call an Uber. The staff was amazing. Gave me the chance to go in and review minor details as many times as I wanted. I always felt welcome. We had a minor issue the day of the wedding which the staff dealt with absolutely wonderfully and very professionally. I would highly recommend using the Commons Calgary for your wedding!!!

Was in the Hemingway room for the University of Calgary Global Challenges dinner. Amazing menu, service, and venue. Lots of public parking available nearby for cheap ($2 for the whole night)!

We were lucky to have the opportunity to get married at The Commons - Hemingway Room. This was the first and only venue that we looked at, and during our tour immediately knew that this was the most perfect space to host our wedding. This historic building has so much character and charm, the brick, and high ceilings are truly amazing! One of the big selling features that caught our eye was the ability to have the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in the same place. After the ceremony, we moved to the Parlour Room for our cocktail hour. During this time the Hemingway Room was flipped to accommodate our wedding. We really felt like this gave the chance for our guests to fully enjoy and celebrate our day with us. The staff at The Commons are very professional and organized and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. We hired Shannon through The Commons as our wedding planner and she did everything in her power to make sure that we were accommodated and that things went off without any flaws. Shannon was always available to us which truly put our minds at ease and relieved a lot of wedding stress! She is a true professional who really knows her stuff and makes you feel like you are taken care of! If you are ever in need of event space, whether it be a wedding or party I would highly recommend choosing The Commons, you will not be disappointed!

I shot a wedding at The Commons last September. I was very impressed with the space, and the staff were absolutely amazing. Everyone was kind and willing to assist. Since it was my first time shooting in the venue, they were very willing to show me around and make me feel comfortable. I definitely recommend hosting your wedding or event at The Commons. It's such a unique space, you will not be disappointed!
