We have visited this park many times to play at the playground (which is great for ages 1-5!) but this was our first time fishing in the children's pond (up to Age 16 only!) and my son had an absolute blast. Although he didn't catch anything on his first try, we will surely be back to give it another go.I will give warning to watch out for Canada Goose poop! They like to hang out here and it is everywhere, but it definitely doesn't ruin your experience, in my opinion. This is an absolute wonderful spot to watch the boats/freighters come downriver from the Soo Locks. They are really up close & personal here!

OMG!! We couldn't ask for any better place to watch the cargo ship activity. It's practically like they're in your front yard. You all have no idea what all this meant to us. My husband has waited 70 years to come here. (He's 85) (from Louisville Kentucky)

This is a beautiful little park for a picnic, walk around the pond, and just sit and watch the ships. This is a spectacular area and well kept. There was a small diner very close by but unfortunately it was closed for the season. Also, take a walk on the boardwalk and enjoy the local charm.

We spent a day here while we were in the Soo. This park is great for seeing freighters pass by. It's also great for putting in kayaks, boats or paddle boards. We kayaked from here out into the river. It wasn't long before a freighter wS passing by. It's so cool to be in the river as these big ships pass by. Just make sure to keep your distance and be safe. These ships do create a draft as they pass by.

Great park to sit and watch the ships go by, enjoy the birds (ducks pretty much all the time - others are more seasonal), not far enough to escape the sounds of the city unless you have noise cancellng headphones. Lots of benches to just sit and chill. Places to fish along the bank, as well as a little fishing pier. During the winter months the snow is not cleaned up on the road or benches; you are on your own. People still crive into the park so it is accessible by vehicle or you can walk in (it's not that big). Bring something to sit on if the benches might be wet or snow covered.Parking in the park is available, or you can park in the lot just outside the park and walking.Dogs are welcome, but should be leashed if there are oter folks in the park. During the really cold months, and bad weather your pup can run free as the park tends to be relatively empty. Poop bags for your do are available at the entrance / exit. Please cleanup after your dog.Don't miss Rotary Park if you're in the Soo.

Great park to visit in the Soo. Right next to Clyde's and the Sugar Island Ferry, on the St Mary's river. A great place to see freighters passing by. An updated playground for kids, bathroom facilities, benches throughout and a kayak launch dock make for easy recreational access to the waterways. Voyager Island has a partial boardwalked pathway to explore by foot. Lots to do packed into one relatively small park. An invaluable public asset for the Soo area.

This is the best place in the Soo to watch passing freighters and is close to Clyde's and the Sugar Island ferry. I would like to have given 5 stars, but on 7/6 & 7/7 the pit toilets were in filthy condtion. They never used to be like that. We had taken our Clyde's lunch to a picnic table and it really needs some upkeep. The park itself is clean and I hope things get corrected..

Nice little park! Shady area to park, shallow beach area where my puppy could wade/swim. Friendly people there. Could use an upgrade on the pit toilets, but overall a nice park to spend some time.
