Was walking around 108 Lake from our resort when someone on the trail told us to check out the heritage site.Well worth the walk. Buildings are old but kept in excellent condition. Had small booths to buy nick nacks such as fudge and doggie treats as well as handmade soups etc. Plus place is close to Rusty Iron Coffee shop an added bonus. Already did a review of Rusty, great destination for coffee and food.108 Heritage site was a great experience to see how things used to be with our schools and churches. Unfortunately I couldn't buy anything because they didn't take debit. Wi-Fi wasn't working. That's too bad.

When stopping at the beautiful heritage site and local trails please leash up your dogs. This area is full of wildlife that deserves to be here. Often we witness off leash dogs chase wildlife. Moms and babies of all kinds of species. We have winessed serious attacks as off leash dogs chase animals on the local 108 and sepa lake trails. This is preventable. Please be respectful of all who use this trail, humans and wildlife alike. Leash your dogs. We don't all appreciate dogs running up to us. Especially with no owner in sight.Thank you and enjoy the areas you venture to respectfully. That's the least we can all do to protect mother earth and all of her glorious creatures, as well as respect local community members.

Canada Day Market at the site today was a great time. All the Heritage ladies are so nice and they are taking great care of the site.Good stop anytime with or without kids for a browse through a little Alice of the turn of the century artifacts and buildings.

We've driven by here for years and, for some reason, never stopped. This year, on our annual trip north, the place caught my eye. I decided we'd stop on our journey south.I'm glad we did! It's a great place to take a rest. Well-maintained grounds for stretching your legs and picnic tables if you prefer to eat. The real bonus, of course, is the collection of heritage buildings. Everything is informative and well-labelled. The young lady in the museum was particularly well-informed and was a treat to talk to.Stop just driving by; drop in.

Great little stop with the whole family including the furry one. If you're here on a Saturday make sure to visit between 10am and 2pm for the local market. We just missed it. Museum is by donation ($5 recommended) and you can look inside each of the out buildings. Kids liked this stop and not just for the ice cream.
