When my environmentally-minded 20 something year old wanted a coat made in Canada of natural materials, I was thrilled to discover Lorne's Coats. She was thrilled with the beautifully made and stylish dress coat of wool and cashmere, made in Canada. Even better was the superb customer service which even includes a tailor on site for final alterations for that perfect fit. Fabulous service and so appreciated. Thank you!!

Not for ordinary shopping. Large selection if you are willing to spend no less than $300 for a winter coat. Generally good quality, run of the mill styles and colours, nothing too trendy. Limited number of staff to help you. Payment plan available.I once bought the raincoat they had in all their flyers. I had never paid $200 for a raincoat before and was assured it was water-proof. It was NOT. I was completely soaked after a strong rain (through the seams in the shoulders). I haven't bought anything there since. Should have returned the coat, but didn't - it was still really cute and fit nicely into a little bag that looks like a purse. Next time I will skip trendy and go to sporting goods store to find something practical and actually waterproof.Would recommend you check out their return policy and any manufacturer's warranties before spending the big bucks.

Quality material speaks for itself! This place really knows their stuff and isn't snobby about it. The staff were very helpful with recommendations and tailoring suggestions. I got the sleeves shorten and it was ready in 3 days.Many classic cuts/styles to choose from and the best part, it's made in Canada!

Picked up a rain coat, Excellent selection. Will definitely be back.

Large selection for men and women.Purchased two winter coats this year.Sales Staff were helpful without being overbearing.Front counter at pick up following alterations left me wondering if the lady had gotten up on the wrong side of the bed.Not a good impression after such a purchase.Note: Paying 400 + dollars for one coat I expect even the cheapest of zippered bags...$1.50 at a Dollar store...or even a plastic cover you get at a dry cleaners on a hanger...instead of having my purchase rolled up and put in a plastic bag.Impressions matter and this was a fail.

Very good coats. Amazing quality, huge selection of Canadian made coats. Nice, affordable prices, for an extremely good quality. Just the customer service a not that great. The older lady very judgmental, she kept saying that it’s very expensive and wasn’t that friendly. Even tho I mentioned that I came for a certain coat which I saw online ( it means I saw the price there already). I got the coat , it fits perfectly and I m very very happy with it.

I went to Lorne's to buy a coat for my daughter before Christmas. I was greeted by Eva who provided excellent service in showing me all of the colour and style options.The coat I was considering was not available in her size. Eva took my info and promised to contact me once stock was available. True to her word, I received an email in a few weeks and was able to order online and ship the coat to my daughter. She loved the fit and colour.Thank you Eva for your help with my decision to purchase the Teal Tati long coat.

I was in the market for a parka and possibly a wool coat. The service was top notch. Salome´ was a true professional, honest, patient, consulted on every coat I tried on, and had a bubbly, infectious personality. I ended up buying two coats and I am ecstatic w/ my purchase. Will go back and buy a trench from her in the spring. Wide variety of high quality coats to choose from. Highly recommend.

I have bought a few coats from Lorne's for myself and family (7) over the years. Because I am tall, they have added length to my coats and sleeves for me. One wool trench style was such good quality fabric and so hard-wearing that eventually after about 10 years of it being my primary winter coat, the lining needed replacement and they happily did that for me for very little cost. Classic quality and custom service is worth it.
