Yaletown Mini Storage / Storguard Self-Storage Yaletown

Rented a locker here for almost 2 years. Chris was always great and accommodating, locker was fine. I completely cancelled the locker and moved out due to the weekend manager Oliver. Power tripping guy spoke to me so rudely over a minor issue when signing in. Wasted half an hour of time with nonsense while I was in a hurry for work.If the owner of Yaletown Mini Storage reads this I highly recommend finding a new weekend manager.

I am a student, had to leave the rental I had because my new roommate was not compatible.So with 2 hours left before my classes I am stuck with heavy bags and I needed a storage locker close to my school.Yaletown mini storage was less than understanding of my current situation, I was told i either had to get a large 300+Locker because nothing else was available......Look me up on IMDB Carey oakesBetter yet go watch maid on netflix episode 10......I'm also on ctvs casting carey.I'm a student, professional actor and a support outreach worker.Just relocated to Vancouver on Friday.Hope your business in the future is more accommodating. My Google reviews are followed and I hope this helps other struggling students avoid this business in the future.Updated:Well I had previously emailed about 20 days prior asking about availability and prior to walking through the front doors I asked if you had small units available.I was then told to come right in, so could this not have been solved by stating that only large units were available over the phone?In addition I asked about the smallest available units standing at the desk, he still had not said anything about only large units left. He then asked me how much stuff I needed to store, I replied with just the 2 bags I had on me at the moment. I continued to say that I had just relocated to Vancouver for college and I had lost my accommodations"Leaving out the reason........that being

Storguard Yaletown has always been a convenient, well maintained and friendly place to keep our overflow of office items. Oliver, the Property Manager, was a pleasure to interact with by ensuring a flawless move-out and for the all services provided by Storguard. We would definitely recommend and use this facility again!

We stored our belongings with Yaletown storage in Vancouver in January 2022 and I was very nervous. I have never had anything in storage before. Oliver and Chris were outstandingly organized and I was very happy with the quality of the customer service, the security measures in place and the condition of the building.Not sure what others are talking about. Oliver and Chris went the extra mile to accommodate us. I would highly recommend Yaletown storage to anybody. They exemplify be kind, be good! Thank you both!

Yaletown Mini StorageBeware of this company or any other storage company in BC! Make sure you have a notarized letter given to your next of kin so if something would happen to you your next of kin can get your things back.My 37 year old son passed last April in an accident without a will (unless it’s in his storage locker) and even with a notarized death certificate and a notarized indemnity letter making myself (his mother) responsible for all issues pertaining to this locker…. Storguard at Yaletown have decided to auction his things instead.It costs $3500.00 min to obtain a grant of admin and takes months to get what they ask to release the contents which is about 10 bins and a bed. I have paid storage now since April 2022 of $200.00 per month for nothing while I tried to get these people to give me my deceased sons things back.They can auction it to a stranger but not give it back to his family.This company is in the auctioning business not storage.Beware this is their policy and not a law!

Sorry I had to change my review. The employee Chris that works the front counter has to be one of the rudest people Iv met. Awful customer service, nothing like Oliver, Oliver was great helping me get my storage etc.I have a flight in a few hours, I have only a hour or so to move all my belongings, I asked to use a cart to goto my car across the street, he said no, I asked why, he said it’s policy, I asked to see the policy, he said no, I ask to speak to a manager and he still refused!! I afford to leave my I.d money, etc because how desperate I was. He was incredibly rude and no help, someone like that shouldn’t be in customer service. I have this all audio recorded because I couldn’t believe the amount of times he just said no with no explanation. Please do something about Chris, please and thank you!

Would highly recommend this storage facility to anyone looking for a space of any size. The units are clean and tidy and the staff are extremely accomodating. Oliver was a massive help and was super understanding, couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

I was a customer for 13 years and had a consistently excellent experience. The facility is clean, tidy and comfortable, and the staff was always very friendly and helpful. The current manager, Oliver, is excellent - very friendly and very capable. I very definitely recommend Yaletown Mini-Storage.

The staff here are very friendly and accommodating! Oliver was very helpful and made my move in experience smooth and easy! The storage lockers are quite big for the price (as a student storing my stuff over the summer a 5 by 3 was more than enough). They also sell boxes and locks in case you need them.

This place has a wonderful management, Oliver is a kind person who always ready to help you in any issue that you have.I am really happy with this place services.Mehrdad
