The most incompetent branch not in Vancity. But I think in all bank worldwide. Don't even waste your time going to this branch. No one know anything.

My husband deposits 2 cheques into our joint account using the ATM. One cheque is removed from our account so I call to find out the problem. I leave my # and am promised a call back. Callback comes and it is explained that the government cheque sent to my husband and I, can not go through the ATM despite being signed by both of us and was deposited into an account that is joint between the two of us. We have done this regularly for 30 years. Even more distressing that the callback which I answered was a request to speak to my husband. Seems we have move back in time 1/2 a century

I do business banking at VanCity for my non-profit. Recently, I notice they cancelled the business banking priority line. The wait becomes longer for people who need to do business errands. I am very disappointed.

Vancity’s telephone service is awful. Anytime I call in I can expect a wait time of 30 minutes to well over an hour. They perpetuate the same tired lie that “we’re experiencing a higher than normal call volume” every time.This is the call volume. Don’t blame it on 2020 as it’s been this way for years. If you cared about your customers you would adapt and hire more phone operators. A call back feature is not sufficient as it’s just a modified version of holding.As an example, ULINE picks up their phone and does so before the line even rings - every single time. Why? Because they care about their customers and they don’t just expect loyalty for nothing.This lack of customer support is a hallmark of big business that does not value the customer.

I work monday to fridayI always did my banking on Saturdays and have excess to safety box. Now my bank and nearby vancity is all close. How am I suppose to go into my safety deposit box if need be.

The fact that this Vancity branch has more than 3 stars is beyond me. I’ve been to this location a couple of times since I work a couple mins from the area and every single time that I have been here, the wait has been unacceptable. There are 5-6 people in line but yet, there are only 2 employers available. Even when the line isn’t long, it’s like everyone that works here takes their sweet time doing anything. There is one specific employee that works at this branch, and she is the sole reason why I have decided to give this place a one star. The first time I ever came here, she helped me with my direct deposit slip. I was starting a new job around the area so it only makes sense that I came to the closest Vancity. I wait 20 minutes in line while she took her sweet, sweet time. When it was my turn, she got my direct deposit slip and spent, I kid you not, 10 minutes filling it out. After filling it out, the form was given to my employer so I could receive my direct deposit. On the day of payday, the money did not go into my account because it turns out the girl who was helping me out, managed to mess up simply filling out a form. The numbers were all wrong, 2 digits were missing, and her signature was even missing. My employer requested for a refund which could take god knows how long, and it is almost 3 days past the payroll day and I still have not received my money. Hire someone who doesn’t have an IQ of a one year old and do your damn job correctly.
