Bought some butter pecan tarts and raisin buns while at the Trails End Farmers Market. They were very good. I will be buying more from them when the opportunity presents.

we buy their cakes with the custard filling and REAL buttercream icing (none of that cheap, sugary icing most bakeries put on) at Trails End Market in London on Saturdays..gotta get there early or their stuff sells out!

We grew up in the Netherlands and Van Straten manages to bake a superb quality Fruit Bread with Almond Filling just like we had at home. Traditionally we treat ourselves to this delicacy at Christmas and Easter and we always enjoy it so much I felt like writing this review to let the Van Straten Bakers know they do a fantastic job. The whole family loves a slice with butter and the Fruit Bread is gone before we know it. My thanks also go out to the Dutch grocery store in Ottawa who make sure they have the fruit bread in stock in time for the festive days. Keep up the good work and know that you always make our Christmas and Easter very special.Nick Baets

Very pleasant owners, we happen to arrive there at 11:55 am today to find out they close at noon on Fridays. The owner was exceptionally nice and took us inside and allowed us to make our purchase. Thank You!

Nice selection of Dutch pastries, though I'm personally not the biggest fan of their tart shells. Classic, homey sweets.- Mimi's Cake Tour

We bought your almond tarts & butter cream pastries, yesterday.Happened to notice that your serving sizes of 35gm on each, don't equate to one tart or pastry.In other words, one serving, is less than a single tart/pastry.It's misleading to consumers, as it shows all nutritional measurements, then, to be artificially, LOWER, than is printed.

Always make a point to get bread at the farmers market from Van Straten. It's delicious! Their pies are also fantastic :)

Great selection of Dutch pastries and breads. Always a popular fundraiser at my children's school.
