Yardly

This is our 3rd winter using the Yardly snow removal service. Dave has done an outstanding job. He shows up in a timely manner and is very thorough. Our sidewalk and driveway are always ice free. As seniors we appreciate the safety provided under foot for us and our neighbors.

Zero accountability.Was happy with the ease of use, and timeliness until I noticed that the gate had been broken/forced open and stuck on the other side of the gate.We don’t use our backyard, so I don’t check or use the gate so who knows how long the damage has been there for.Quickly emailed and in short the response was that:a) the damage was already there and it must’ve been the wind (imo it must’ve been a tornado for it to have that much force to blow it off it’s latch on the other side of the post and push through the gate onto the other side of the post...and against the direction of the hinge that’s installed)B) they are not taking responsibility for itThey offered me a $100 credit which I promptly declined and requested to cancel their services. How can I trust them back on the property if they aren’t going to be accountable. It’s not the money (and reason I declined their credit) I just wanted the issue fixed and for them to acknowledge be accountable.100% satisfaction guarantee is written but they definitely do not embody it. Here I thought I could continue to use their service for snow removal as well...guess not.As per their agreement for their contractors “To reduce liability, it is advised to inspect properties before each service and send Yardly photos of any potential damage before starting service on the property.” I was never notified nor have I seen any photos advising me of the damage.

I work a rotational shift so not having to worry about snow removal and keeping the sidewalks clean is a huge relief. Very prompt Would highly recommend. Actually I already did!!

I stayed in Edmonton.Had a very bad service with Yardly Edmonton.Renew the contract on October,but never show up after October.Checked with them,they apologized saying they missed the contract.Then they activated the contract (they said), take the money from my credit card, and never show up. I still need to clean snow myself everyday,and no one from Yardly show up.I decided let everyone know about,don’t use this company anymore.

I hired Yardley to remove snow from my elderly parents yard and drive way. The snow removal was horrendous and never done in a timely manner making it dangerous for my elderly parents to get in and out of their home and car. They pushed large piles of snow to the end of their drive way making it impossible for the car to exit without getting stuck. The customer service was horrible. Not once could I contact a person directly. We would have to wait days for a response. I am so appalled at their service, even my child could shovel snow better. Save your money and go somewhere else. We were stuck dealing with this business all winter because we prepaid.

I paid a month in advance for a lawn care spring clean up for a total of $303.45. I was booked in for a 3 day window between May 2-4. Yardly did not show up for this window, I contacted them to ask what was going on, and their reply was conditions on the ground were not optimal for service" which is a lie

***Please read this if you are considering weed control/fertilizer***I have had an amazing experience with this company in the past, their workers are very professional, friendly and do an absolutely amazing job. I've hired other companies, and by far, the service Yardly provides is unmatched. However, in the last year, so much has changed, and it all seems to stem from management trying to squeeze in higher profits.Monthly snow removal includes a mandatory charge for April snow removal. So, say you want a January service only - you must pay for April as well. So one month is actually a 2 month charge because, let's face it - there is barely any snow in April, if any.Now, the fertilizer/weed control.They only spot treat after the first or second visit, and for some reason, they started alternating my fertilizer and weed control. (See update below for clarification on resolution with Yardly). This was never stated in the contract so it left me quite confused. I called to ask why that is, and they said it was because the weed control is quite bad for the environment, and this is a standard practice. This does not seem to be the case with my neighbors who have hired a different company. I appreciate and accept their reasoning, but I wish this was clearly communicated in the contract we have.There is also a mandatory fuel surcharge, which increases the cost significantly. That was introduced last year POST contract. Again, it is understandable but not a professional and ethical practice to charge additional fees once a contract has been signed.Update- Today, I was informed that the fertilizer and weed control are in the same mixture so in that case I must have received it on last application. When I phoned I was originally told that the fertilizer is granulated and I definitely did not have any such thing applied on last visit.I am guessing and hoping that on following visits I will be getting the granulated one since they will only be spot treating the weeds so I hope that doesn't mean spot fertilizing as well.

So dissatisfied with this Company. Their lack of professionalism, communication and empathy towards their customers; especially those that are loyal and have them booked for year round services.Firstly, for the snow removal service; service was set up. When the first snow fall occurred an auto generated email was issued advising that a crew member would be out that day between 8am-8pm. (Okay, no problem). 5 days later In a row with consistent snowfall, no one showed. Rather I did the snow removal myself. Contacted yardly to advise and spoke to a voicemail. Although was billed for the service and the no show of their crew.As winter came to a close and it was early spring I called yardly & emailed to ensure that our services were reactivated for spring/summer lawn and yard care/clean up. The first clean up was to occur first week of June. Continued to attempt to reach a live person although continuously had to leave voicemails with no action or communication taken on their part. After sending an email, I was advised someone came to the property although they hadn’t. My video cameras (all around my property) showed the task rabbit guy I hired do the work I was charged by yardly for due to their incompetence.If you want to pay a reoccurring weekly or biweekly bill to have zero communication and be the dishevelled house on the block book with YARDLY. If not, I STRONGLY recommend another service provider.

Last week Yardly sent a man and woman to do our spring yard clean up. They did an IMMACULATE job. This was the first time we had used them and they were way way better than the company that we had been using. They cleaned our hedges, juniper beds and flowerbeds better than we have ever had. They did a great job getting the grass power raked and cleaned up. Will use again and would most certainly recommend them!!
