Hello!My name is Mikayla and this year I am going into grade six at this school as of next year! I am super excited because this has been the school that I've been going to for the last 7 years. The reason why I love this school so much is that the people and environment are so amazing! When you are at this school you can always find friends that you can get along with! Because this is a small school, there are not a lot of people in all the classes. This has been a good thing for me because I find it makes the whole class come together. It's really hard not to find a place to fit in at this lovely school. At St.Catherine's, there are also so many different fun events that you can attend. Some of my favourites are the talent show, Christmas concert and school sports. There are also so many fundraisers that we do here like the can food drive, where we collect as much caned food as possible and then donate it all to the greely food bank. This way, people who don't have the money to buy food for Christmas can have something to eat with their family. One year we raised over 1000 cans! In the fall of 2017, we did a fundraiser to help one of our custodians. Her family had been effected by an earthquake in Mexico. To help her out, the grade six class of last year decorated pumpkins for the day of the dead, which is a popular mexicain celebration. People could then buy tickets and vote on which pumpkin they liked best. They would then put their tickets with their name on it into the bag for their favourite pumpkin.If your name was drawn, you got to keep that pumpkin. It was really fun and even though I didn't win one, it was really nice to see my classmates faces when they heard that they won their favourite pumpkin. Some people in other classes were even generous enough to give the pumpkin they won to someone who really wanted that one. Something that I love about my class is that they are always so accepting. If there is a new kid in our class, we will make sure that they feel at home. If you have a weird interest, you don't need to be afraid of what people think about you because there is always someone who will have the same interest or an even weirder one! Overall, I love this school and will definitely come back to visit in the next chapter of my life. If you are going to this school I know that you will have so much fun! At St.Catherine's, we are a family!<3

Not my usual parish but thought I’d try something new. Very enjoyable mass. Priest is friendly and easy to listen to.

Excellent church with a good priest and a good Mass

I sought the assistance of a priest who was here in 2014. Since his giving spiritual direction to my daughter, a very young nun, I was isolated. She no longer respected me. Also, I discovered that the parish that sent her was in legal trouble due to scandal. Sadly, the presiding priest only sought to protect her vocation. My daughter and myself have subsequently been estranged for over 8 years due to this priests spiritual direction.
