Great professional qualified engineers, great service and very pleasant staff. Unmatchable place to repair your vintage devices , no need to dump your retro devices then regret that while they can be restored and work fine again, all are A+++

One of the only shops in the city selling cassettes, stocking many local artists you won't find elsewhere, as well as retro hi-fi equipment. The staff here are very helpful and will recommend new discoveries based on your musical tastes. For artists and bands this is a great spot to get limited run CDs and tapes manufactured even on a tight budget.

the dupe shop is big time good. they sell me new stuff and fix my old stuff and aren't super crooky about it all. i also have gotten to know the people that work there just from going in and they're all friendly so now when i go in they all know my name and its like a store on a tv show or something. i love that !

Amazing magical place. Have everything to do with cassettes you could imagine, and the staff is super cool and friendly. Got some sealed vintage TDK SA tapes at a very reasonable price, and that stuff is super hard to find as it is.I'll gladly use any excuse in the book to pay them a visit.

((The Bloor Street storefront that this review referred to closed during the pandemic. The address listed here is now for the main warehouse I guess. You can still buy stock online and get yr duplications, but without the neighbourhood vibe.))The best service and attitude. Honest and patient staff helped me tick all the boxes for my projects. I have had several tapes duplicated by them and also buy blank stock there! Best music shop in the city!!

The Dupe Shop is probably one of the only places in the city that focuses on cassettes, and they're amazing. The staff are friendly, well-experienced, and can walk you through the collection of tapes that they have to find something you like. The store has a chill, musical vibe/atmosphere to it, which only adds to the retro cassette shop experience. Not to mention that they not only sell equipment, but they can also fix old cassette players that may have been thrown out otherwise. On top of all that, they also make custom mixtapes at your request. 10/10 place to drop by, and will definitely be visiting again.

I’m really pleased with the service I received. I picked up a cassette player (walkman), and a staff member helped me to make sure it was working correctly. He was very patient and helpful, as well as being very conscientious; they take their products seriously and don’t want you to go home with something that doesn’t work. I also picked up 4 cassettes—great selection and great quality!
