Spanish River Resort and Campground - Cabins, Campsites, RV Sites and Fishing!

Hi everyone, it’s my first year here, this place it’s relaxing and friendly Atmosphere. People at most campsites are very friendly and welcoming. We are here for a seasonal sites, and also have a boat slips from Dave too. A few strong points when we chose this place are, *waterfront we could see from most campsites and just a little walk then you’re there. We have two dogs, there’s little lope we could walk them or do there business. Dave still doing some renovation around the campsites to make it better each and everyday. He’s sure busy, but when u need anything, he’s be there for you, Dave never let us down. Here are some pictures we could share with you. Come and check it out Spanish River Resort and Campground.

We thoroughly enjoyed two beautiful nights at campground. Dave was an excellent host and aimed to please. It was quiet and we enjoyed watching the sunrise and set while there. The only negative was not having a dump station for those just traveling through. But...it was still a gem for us! Thanks Dave!

David was a most wonderful host to us on our weekend away. The campground is literally on the water and you can fish by boat or cast a rod from the dock. He is really working hard to make this truly a fishing destination. We very much enjoyed our weekend, very quiet, and close to everything you need. We will be back next year for sure! Thank you David.

Great extended stay. Dave, the new owner, was very friendly and is making renovations to the property making it family friendly. Right on the water, we were able to kayak and my husband went kiteboarding…Dave’s passion too! Lots of fishing and boating opportunities. Good job Dave!

We spent the night there on our way through and it was great. Beautiful view of the river and the washrooms were excellent, super bright and clean. I want to come back to try the fishing.

We had the pleasure of staying at The Spanish River Resort and Campground for the week of Canada Day. The accommodation, while not fancy, was comfortable warm and had absolutely everything you need in the kitchen to cook up a storm. We visited at this time for the fishing and were not disappointed as the fish were plentiful and delicious. We caught both small mouth bass as well as pike and pickerel.Dave, the owner was pleasant, friendly and extremely accommodating of our every need.The resort is equipped with two cozy cabins as well as a quaint RV area with campfires for all the s’mores your family can cook up. It also boasts a convenient and safe swimming area for children away from the dangers of passing boats and river currents.Be sure to welcome a visit and chat with the resident local Moe. This man has a wealth of knowledge about the history of this quaint little town and will entertain you for hours with his comical anecdotes.We had a fabulous experience and would happily return to this resort in the future. I highly recommend checking it out for your next family getaway or boys/girls fishing weekend.

We had a great experince at this campground! We had some truck troubles (truck batteries overheating) and had to find somewhere to stop and the owner was able to fit us in for the night. The owner was very kind and helpful, he came and helped the hubby look things over and make sure we were set to be on our way the next day! The view was amazing, lots of fishing on a nice big river! All other campers were super friendly and stopped in to talk with us! Definitely a hidden gem, worth checking out if you like fishing or want nice water front views, swimming or just taking a boat up the river! 10/10!

We had such a great experience in this campground. David is such a nice, funny and welcoming host, always wanting to help and to make you have a good time. And he succeeds! He even contacted his neighbor Jack to help us fix our bike (Jack owns a bike shop). If you travel by bicycle like us, it’s the perfect spot! And great playground for the kids, very nice and clean bathrooms and breathtaking view!

Such a wonderful place and a lovely host! We pulled in with no reservation hoping for a place to camp, and even though the campground has yet to officially open for the season, David let us check in. He was so considerate and thoughtful, and set us up with a site with power to make sure we could charge our phones for our long drive the next day. The site itself is beautiful, right on the water. We hope to come back in the open season when it isn’t snowing to take advantage of David’s boat rentals!
