ICBC Driver Licensing

Echoing what others have previously said.Poor customer service. My concern was completely shot down immediately.Then was asked 'Does that answer your question?' No it does not. I just left.

I ended up having to go twice to get my bcdl, I found the online information a bit lacking. When I went in with the correct documents, it was very straightforward. While I was there, I saw the staff deal with several people who were not as straightforward in a very professional manner that respected the value of the time of every other person waiting in line. Dealing with the public is hard work and they do a good job here. I recommend this location.

Unfortunately there is nothing less than 1 star here. I have been given a run around for more than 4 months to get my BC drivers license. I lost my indian original license during my travel to Canada. When I went for the knowledge test to the warf iCBC center, I was told I need the driving abstract from india to do my knowledge test. I asked them if there was any option to get my license even as a new driver and not consider my experience. They refused saying there are no option at all. They asked me file a police complaint for the loss of my driver's license i did that already. They said they will send my international driver license abstract to some authority in Vancouver for verification and I can do my knowledge test on the 26th Jan 2023. I had submitted all the documents on the 11th Jan 2023. I called icbc today they were saying there is no progress made on my file yet and they have no clue as to how long it will take. They claim that there is no way track the progress and I need to call everyday to check if there is any progress. Surprised to such a pathetic situation when the technology is grown to heights. I have lost complete hopes on icbc. When the world is moving super fast icbc is still 20 years behind. I don't think icbc can help towards any betterment.

I had been here in this Branch for the second time. And I felt I was bullied by one of your customer services. In her loud voice asking Where’s your ID? Your Permit? Don't have a permit? like everyone it's looking at me like I don't belong. And she said to cancel your appointment unless you have a permit. It was so MEAN literally. That chubby lady (I don't want to be mean to her) was so mean to everyone there, especially to seniors. Her tone of voice has no remorse at all. I don't know if she is into something or dealing with a tough situation but don't treat people like that. I hope you guys check on her because based on the reviews here you guys have a lot of things to do.

Unfortunately I have experienced very poor customer service at this location twice now. Staff members do not listen to questions from individuals who have booked appointments and instead make people feel bad about the questions they ask. It is unfortunate because there are limited places to go in Victoria. The one good thing is that if you book an appointment there are short wait times.

If I could give zero stars I would. All I asked for was the requirements for a class three license. Not only was I not provided with a list, to tell her mindlessly started reading through a book about stuff I told her I already knew. If your staff are going to be serving people, make sure they treat their customers like people!

I took my 90+ Mom in to “retire” her DL and get new ID and the woman who helped us was so kind, patient and lovely with her as she walked her through the whole process, took her photo and explained next steps. She was a total pro with high emotional intelligence in a complicated business. It was super busy and she did a wonderful job helping us.

i had to visit three different times because of a hiccup with trying to get the correct document from Ontario. For those moving from ON to BC, you need to bring with you your Driver's License History" (not "3 or 5-Years Driver's Abstract" or "Full Driver's History"

The customer service was absolutely terrible. The lady I spoke to had no smile, no compassion. And the vibe she was giving out was very uncomfortable and condescending. She gave me this mocking tone asking “don’t you have your ID??” instead of kindly asking if I had one with me at that moment. I don’t know why this kind of creature is doing customer service. She doesn’t know the basics of it.HOWEVER, this opportunity reminded me once again how powerful simple act of kindness can be. This world is broken and we need to be kind to each other.This world is not a video game so I cannot have a fire-tail salamander to breath fire at her, but I hope she gets what she deserves.
