There is nothing that prepares you for the knock on the door that tells you your brother is dead. I contacted Vince @ Vancouver Crematorium and all I could manage to say is my brother died in Nanaimo and I need to bring him home… I need to see him! I gave Vince the bare details the RCMP gave me and his response was “I’ll take care of this” and Vince did! He walked me through everything I needed to do, and took care of the things that needed to be done that I didn’t need to personally do. My brother was a painter & Vince created the canvas for my brother to be remembered…. I know he personally set up the chapel for the viewing - there were so many personal touches about memories I had shared ….. I don’t know how I would have gotten through the first days & weeks without Vince’s guiding hand and compassionate ear. There is no amount of money that could ever be paid to say thank-you Vince - you honoured my brother and I a, forever grateful

Our funeral director made a point of understanding the family's needs and wishes. The team was incredibly respectful and dignified during the memorial service in guiding everyone. I would recommend them especially Merv our funeral director.

Merv, Vince, Sandy and the entire team at Vancouver Memorial Services and Crematorium are class act! They went above and beyond to help us with the funeral services for my father. The were accommodating with their time and expertise all provided with compassion and empathy. Vince and the team at the Vancouver Crematorium were terrific in handling the coordination and cremation of our sweet mother. They were patient, kind and caring. Very easy to deal with and responded to inquiries swiftly. We're grateful for their assistance.

If you are looking for a simple cremation this place is outrageously priced. 450 dollars for a cardboard casket . Affordable cremation charges 35. I had already paid them almost twelve hundred for some services and they wanted to charge me 4,000 dollars altogether i switched to affordable cremation they were faster and more understanding

Vancouver crematorium was recommended to me by a friend when my step father passed away in 2021. Cremation services were arranged by Vincent who was so kind and professional. When my mother died a few months later I didn’t hesitate to call Vincent again. It can be overwhelming when a loved one dies and the staff here were so good at providing clarity, compassion and caring.

I don't usually do reviews but given how unpleasant I was expecting this process to be, and how professional and painless it all went, I felt I needed to. Greg was great. Extremely professional. No pressure at all and very helpful. I would strongly recommend him and Vancouver Memorial Services.

After a number of years, we could not locate my father's cremation certificate. Vince, the Manager, was so helpful and kind in providing a new copy for us. He went above and beyond in my opinion! Excellent customer service and communication skills. Thank you, Vince!
