Very good quality fish and chips for the price point. The batter is not too heavy and very delicious, the fries really are made in house and the taste proves it, very simple very delicious and that coming from a Maratimer.

Over priced, food was good, but not great. As others warn - i should have listened - portion sizes are quite small. I ordered a lot thinking I would have leftovers as a snack and still try a bit of everything. Turns out my 70 dollar order could be easily eaten in one sitting, and I am not a huge eater by any means. At least if it's going to be expensive, make the food great. 70 bucks is fine dining prices, not small-time diner prices. Lobster bisque was good at first but after about half, the salt got to me and it wasn't as enjoyable. Would recommend the smaller cup instead of the bowl unless you plan to share it. The king cut" of halibut was definitely smaller than expected

Was wanting a nice crab dinner. Unfortunately that is no longer on the menu. They had lobster bisque only. They were our of the appetizer calamari. Had fish & shrimp. That was all the seafood they had. One waitress seemed to be doing everything, the meal I had was good.

Staying nearby, took my two boys for dinner. The food was good, we had a decent view outside and the prices were reasonable though not cheap. Restaurant was clean and staff friendly. Only negative would be that I think they could have used one more on staff for hosting and serving.

Quality lacking and way overpriced. First time I ordered fish & chips which were average. The 2nd time, I was looking forward to the Shrimp & Lobster Sourdough Grill sandwich which looked good in the photo, but should be renamed a Grilled Cheese and Onion sandwich as chopped onions overwhelmed any other flavours. There were small bits of what I presume were shrimp, but certainly could not taste any lobster. And it was borderline burnt on both sides (see photo; should've taken pics of the filling as well). Choked half of it down and gave the other half to my wife without giving her my opinion, but she said the same thing. Where's the lobster?! Nothing but onions and certainly not worth $16!!!Response to owner's comment: Reviews aren't necessarily written the same day that you've eaten there. As mentioned, I've eaten at your place more than once, and my review reflects an overall impression. I've been meaning to write the review for a while and was reminded when I came across the photo of said disappointing & ridiculously overpriced sandwich.

This used to be one of our go-to places where we knew we would always enjoy our meal. They have completely changed the menu and it is ridiculously expensive. The fish comes with french fries only - no substitutions, not even any cole slaw! Why not fish and 2 sides? I used to get 1 piece of cod with wild rice and vegetables. There is no longer even an option for 1 piece, the rice is bland brown rice and the vegetables no longer have the same seasonings, just cooked in oil. That was $5.25 for a blend of cherry tomatoes, onions and zucchini and the same price for the brown rice. (I was refunded the price of one side since I didn't get any fries but that was because I complained). My fish was extra crispy / greasy but a bit dry inside which lead me to think it may have been re-fried. Also, I'm sorry but I am not a fan of eating in metal trays like I'm in a mess hall. The fork goes through the paper eventually. The price of our meal went up $15 from our last 2 visits. The only good comment I have is the staff were very pleasant.Unfortunately with these changes this restaurant will be off our list.

Professional fish&chips restaurant, fish taste good, fried a little bit over. The salad is ok, not recommended. The lobster soup is good, very delicious.

The menu has changed, my parents and I were regular visitors and always left happy. The new menu is pricey and there are no substitutions, and they now use metal trays with soggy waxed paper instead of plates. My mom wanted salad instead of fries with her haddock, and was charged a full $6.00 on top of the $22.00, which was the price for additional side salad. The salad was very small and made with iceberg lettuce instead of the romaine and greens as stated in the menu. Long story short, we paid $31.00 for 2 pieces of haddock, a side salad, and a coke. Absolutely ridiculous! I even discussed this with the person at the till, but was told that the fries came free and that is the price for the fish which explains the $6 charge. Our server was awesome and the food was good so I gave 2 stars instead of 1. We will no longer visit Joey's Only. The franchise owners should go back to the old menu.

Everything done as cheap as possible. For a seafood restaurant, very little seafood on the menu. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer, very mediocre so we left and ate somewhere else. Used to go to Joey's in Calgary and it was always good. Feels like it's run by people who care more about saving money than the quality of the food. Poor waitress was overworked too. Never going back.
