Their vehicles are good but beware that they charge pretty high on gas refills even though they say they won't. So fill out the gas before you return the car.

DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!It’s my first time needing a rental from a car collision; I went to No1 Collision in Richmond on No.5 road and got a rental from Hertz.When I was checking in to get a rental car, the guy told me to choose an insurance for the rental. I asked him if the insurance is mandatory to get a rental car, in which the worker responded “yes”. I picked the insurance that would give my parents and I coverage, and it was charging me daily.Two weeks went by and I couldn’t get my car back anytime soon because there was a delay in the shipment of the parts that my car needed. I thought something was not right as the daily insurance fee was adding up. Since it was charging me daily, I called a few people (including ICBC); they told me I shouldn’t have to get extra insurance and that own insurance should cover the rental car.I called Hertz right away and told them the situation. The man working there told me it wasn’t mandatory, so I cancelled the insurance immediately. He mentioned that they will still need to charge me for the two weeks. I believe I was given false information in which they told me that it was mandatory. If I knew it wasn’t mandatory I would not have gotten the insurance. They charged me $300 for the two weeks. SUCH A SCAM. My car was in the shop for 3 months- I can’t imagine what would’ve happen if I hadn’t called.I DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE RECOMMENDING THIS COMPANY TO ANY OF MY FRIENDS OR FAMILY.

This location is sucks. Yes it looks fancy but here is the story.Im from BC, i sold my car because i will travel overseas for a while. I needed a car for 15 days, as hertz gold plus member i rented from this location because it was cheaper.I retuned the car in June 14, i paid all the toll charges online. Indeed, i pay the toll in the same day i crossed the bridge so they will know it is me paying the charge when they get the statements.In 30 of July; I saw Hertz toll charge on my Amx of 21$.I emailed Hertz and dispute the transactions as i still have the online receipts. 5 days later they refund my credit card.In 16 of August, they charged me 58$ (toll + Administration fees). I re-send my receipts to Hertz and wait for days until they refund me.In September 2, i saw a charge of 18.35$ toll fees from Hertz.My God!!! What wrong with Hertz. Im overseas and it really not fun to deal with fake charges.I got upset and paid the 18.35$ statement on my credit card and guess what I Cancelled my credit card !! Even though i do love my Amx gold but Hertz is like a hacker or something evil that keep stealing my money!!!I never had an issue with hertz but this location break the deal with hertz. I will NEVER RENT from Hertz.

Great experience renting a car here. After my car was totalled and I was waiting for my insurance to figure out the outcome of my claim, I searched different places to rent a vehicle. I spoke with Leo and he set me up with the same vehicle I had within the same day. The process was easy from start to finish.

You can find reasonable rates and deals online. The manager is friendly. We usually rent from this location, but I've been disappointed with its customer service. We returned our vehicle a day earlier due to the bad incoming weather. I filled the tank moments before. The needle was on the fill line. The person behind the desk who checked the vehicle said the tank was not full because to be considered full, the needle in Toyotas has to be above the fill line. I literally left and went across the street and put $3 in it. For regular customers, that was poor service. Not to mention how long they take to refund your deposit. The first pic was when I first returned and it was not considered full. The second was when I left to add $3. Also the mileage in on my invoice looks fishy as I barely drove due to bad weather. Anyone who knows customer service knows that was bad service.

I read the google reviews here and took a chance at renting. I was pleasantly surprised how well it went. The dude that took care of me was chill and quick. The process took about 7 minutes. I rented a Tesla for a day at $70 which required some online discounts. I got a dual motor blue which was wild and unexpectedly awesome.The Hertz at Marine Drive cancelled my order a day before. Thankfully Richmond here pulled through. I charged on my own for about $20 at my apartment to 90% (you have recharge minimum 80%). I took it on Friday and returned on Saturday. They are closed on the weekend but you can just drop off your keys in a safety box.I did not get charged for anything else the following business week. I would rent here again when I need to!!

Car was leaking oil all over my garage the next morning after receiving the rental vehicle, waited 1.5 hours on a Saturday to get a replacement vehicle which I was told was to be arranged. Was not contact after the arrangement, no swap occurred. Left stranded all weekend. No follow up from anyone. Called to speak with the manager regarding the $180 charge for a compete inconvenience, was told I would get a call back after review was conducted, did not. Unacceptable customer service, I would strongly recommend another company after my experience.

When I got my Windshield replaced in February, I had gotten a rental which would be covered by my Insurance. I returned the vehicle with a full tank of gas, even though the car didn't even have a full tank when checked out.A week after, they called to say they were going to charge me for not filling up the gas and that my insurance company wasn't going to cover it.I had sorted it out with my insurance company afterwards and that was it... until just last week.A Hertz charge appeared on my credit card, after 5 months! The Hertz desk at Openroad Autobody had no answer and couldn't see anything in their system, which meant I have to deal with Hertz themselves.This is still an ongoing issue, but I will NEVER come back to Openroad Autobody unless they switch rental agencies from Hertz to any other agency.UPDATE 2019/07/15After speaking with both Hertz (after being on hold and dropping calls in an hour) and my Insurer, it is clear that Hertz is giving the run around.My adjuster had mentioned they gave Hertz the OK for the rental and to bill them back in February. Hertz had on file that the Insurer mentioned to bill the client and the client will seek reimbursement which is in itself incorrect.Therefore this further cements that Hertz would rather make the customer suffer during this whole ordeal, without even informing their customer.DO NOT USE HERTZ.

Honestly Hertz, please address the issue of your TERRIBLE road service assistance!! The rental went well until we got a flat tire. First, there was NO SPARE TIRE in the rental car, and the repair kit was not even appropriate for the model. Second, we had to deal with the road service assistance for hours (some people from the US who were completely useless and not addressing our issues), night and morning, until we gave up and found all the solutions ourselves. And finally, after all the trouble, Hertz didn't even want to reimburse the full costs of the hotel room we had to pay because of the incident (while we arranged the towing and tire replacement ourselves, and Hertz didn't have to pay for anything).
