I would give 10 stars if I could! Heather is wonderful and does such a great job at making you feel welcome and comfortable in her space. My hair always looks phenomenal when I leave. The Loma products there have also completely changed my hair game at home, so I feel completely taken care of until my next appointment. If you're reading reviews to find your next hair place - this is your sign! Go to Hiatus!!

This is a rad hair place by a rad person. If I could award more than five stars I would, but I am limited by Google - but YOU will not be limited by anything but your imagination when you get Heather’s creative fingers into your hair to craft a work of art that you can flaunt immediately as you strut down Cook Street.

Heather is the best! She always makes me feel comfortable and her shop is adorable and cozy. It is a bonus that good tunes and always playing!

Best place to get a haircut/trim/colour! Especially if you are queer, trans, or non-binary, or have any sensory sensitivities! Heather is truly amazing and always so kind and accommodating. I will always recommend this place to everyone I know!

I went to Heather for a clean up after cutting my own hair for a few years (!) and attempting a gnarly grow out. She gave me the cutest, precise bob and my hair looks like a dream. It also felt really clean and safe – perfect for right now. Isolated space, just one chair, we both wore masks. I felt really good about the effort that she is taking to keep herself and her clients safe. Super calm, relaxed experience with a great cut. Definitely recommend!

Every time I leave Hiatus Hair, I feel like a total boss. Heather is incredible, checking -in for pictures and inspiration before the cut and then really making sure to build a picture of what you want with you during the appointment.I have asked Heather for some pretty tricky dye jobs, and she has always nailed them.The space is always clean and just beautiful to be in, and Heather themself is open and friendly.I've had my hair cut and dyed there over 10 times, and I am happy to say that I will continue to go here for years to come.

Heather is absolutely incredible! She has created a welcoming, safe, and warm space and she does stunning work with more than reasonable prices. I have had cuts, color, and styling from Heather and I always leave happy and confident. I have recommended Heather to many others who all rave about her as well.
