A lovely shop full of beautiful local art and souvenirs. Unfortunately the staff was less than welcoming from the moment I entered. I felt watched in a judgemental manner throughout. When I looked through an assortment of stickers one of the employees immediately came to rearrange them not even a minute after I’d stepped away. The same thing happened when I browsed through some handmade cards. I just felt like a nuisance and they were waiting for me to leave. They seem to be looking for a very specific clientele.

I really want to love this local, unique shop. Unfortunately, my recent experience left me feeling unwelcome. Yes, I entered the shop with a coffee cup in hand. The owner abruptly scolded me without so much as a “hello”. I would have been happy to leave my cup at the counter while I browsed but that wasn’t good enough for her. She preferred to speak to me in a demeaning way and point out a sign on the door that prohibits food and drink. Honestly, I had not stopped to read all the info on the front door, nor was I out to ruin anything in the shop - or my shopping experience. There was a much better tone the owner could have used that would have corrected my faux pas while still being warm and welcoming. I cannot imagine that her business is thriving to the point she can drive customers away. Great gift ideas. Snarky owner.

Super cool little shop in White Rock you must check out! If you're looking for a unique gift for someone or perhaps that nice touch for your home, this is the place to get it. Piya the owner is very nice, and will help you with whatever you may need. The items are locally made, so you'll be supporting the community. Be sure to not miss this place while you're visiting white rock.

Walked in witha lidded coffee and was treated like a toddler unable to manage a sippy cup. Just felt very unwelcomed and monitored. Left the store not because the items weren’t interesting, but because the vibe was was so off.

The Handpicked Home is an absolute GEM. It’s full of unique, thoughtfully chosen, locally made goods.This shop is the first place I go for gifts and cards and gifts from here are always well loved by their recipient s:)Piya is one of the loveliest humans you will ever meet, she has a true passion for customer service and will go above and beyond to help you find that something special you are looking for.The shop is packed full of beautiful things and Piya knows every single piece in there.An important consideration since the shop is small, max capacity is two people, so you may have to wait your turn but I promise it is well worth the wait!If I could give this place ten stars I would!

One of my absolutely most favorite shops! It's like an oasis and a chance to enter pure magic! Just being there makes me happy. Piya has created such a unique and lovely store. It's filled with so much shop local goodness your head may spin (in a good way). You will love it!
