Furdoos Dog Spaw

I've been taking my Golden Retriever to Liz and Furdoos for about 5 months. Liz has done a great job making my Molly not absolutely HATE grooming appointments, as was the case before. I've recently been getting compliments on how good Molly looks. Definitely recommend this place!

Furdoos is a great local dog groomer. We've been taking our Westie there for years and would never go anywhere else. They are friendly and reliable and always do a great job. Unlike most groomers, the dogs aren't placed in kennels so they are free to wander around and have fun which is the best part! They are very in demand (which is a good thing) so you'll need to book in advance.

How is this store even open for business? The owner and operator of this store is believably rude and condescending. Absolutely unwelcoming, zero hospitality spirit. It’s as if the patrons of this business are a real inconvenience to her. There are so many options for groomers in the area. Try one of those first. Everyone can have a bad day or two but please, this owner has far exceeded the reasonable Quota for bad days. Some may not care about a happy greeting, or a ‘thank you for the business’ and that’s fine. But for those looking for a professional groomer who can provide at least a wee bit of gratitude in exchange for over $80 for a hair cut and Nail clipping you’d be better off else where. Just the worst.

I love coming to this grooming salon. The owner, Liz, takes great care of my little Maltipoo. She is kind and caring and my dog is always beautifully groomed. I am a very nervous dog owner but I never worry when I leave my dog at Furdoos. My dog is always happy to go to Furdoos and comes home clean fluffy and beautifully groomed.

Best groomer in town : Liz, Furdoos ownerI have been taking my dog since he was a puppy (8 now) . A lady I met in Whistler told me that she drives her 2 beautifully groomed dogs to Furdoos because Liz is the best. She told me to not waste time because I was not going to find better than her. She was right !!!I live in Vancouver and have tried many good groomers ( to avoid driving so far ) but keep going back to Liz. She simply does the best work in Vancouver , profesional and a master of dog grooming .Liz is a straight shooter, honest and direct but always polite . If my dog has mats then yes! that service will have an additional cost ,I like honest people who respect their craft and their clients .People stop me often to ask who grooms my dog.... I highly recommend!

Great grooming but extremely poor customer interactions. The owner says things that are so abrasive- such as “your dog was in Terrible condition”- why would you take a dog for grooming if they were pristine!?Or asking for a tip after being rude about being late for their strict pick up time?If you’ve seen the Seinfeld episode about the ‘Soup Nazi’- this is the equivalent in a dog groomer! If you can handle the cold human experience feel free to give it a try.

The owner is very rude and condescending. I have a very sweet good natured 14 year old toy poodle. We moved to the area recently and this is the second grooming at Furdoos. I was a little shocked by the owners attitude the first time but brought her back once more. I think she was over booked. She tried to say I was an hour early. When her assistant checked the book I was on time. She complained several times about my dog being old. I arrived ten minutes early for pick up. My dog was still being groomed. I said I would return. She said no take her now, you should have arrived at the correct time and now she has seen you. My dogs face was not complete. She then said there would be an additional $27 service fee next time because my dog is old and requires extra care. Don't trust this woman with your dog. I will not return.

The dogs look great! Really happy with the service we got. Our dogs make everyone else suffer from their separation anxiety, but Liz was great with them. Did I say they look awesome?

I can't say enough good things about these guys. We've had several groomers for our doggo, Goofy. He is not the easiest to groom, and I can say that I feel we finally found the right place. You can tell everyone who works there really loves dogs and our little guy comes out looking amazing. Thank you and we will see you soon.

The owner, Liz, is extremely unfriendly and abrasive. She didn’t start this way when she first purchased the business. But gradually her attitude changed so much so that I absolutely hated dealing with her. I stoped taking my dog there. I definitely do not recommend this place to anyone.
