I was so lucky to have Amy Sturgeon as my wedding photographer this September! She was professional, organized and friendly. Amy took the time to find out what was important to us. She organized a timeline and paid attention to every detail before the big day.Amy directed my wedding party and I through the shoot with ease. I felt comfortable around her, which allowed me to really enjoy the experience. You can tell Amy really has a passion for what she does when she is behind the camera. I would highly recommend Amy to anyone looking for a photographer.

It is not an overstatement to say that booking Amy was one of the best decisions we made with regards to our wedding day. We got engaged in the fall of 2020 and very quickly jumped to booking vendors. I had already fallen in love with Amy's editing style and photos, and then we met her via skype and I was down right sold. She is kind and personable, hardworking, organized, and truly wants the absolute best for her clients. We bonded over her science background and volleyball, which made booking her an easy decision.Next was our engagement shoot nearly a year later. Amy accommodated us so well to make sure we got our photos with amazing lighting and weather. She also made both myself and my partner feel so comfortable (which shows in all of her photos). Leading up to the wedding she made sure to have all our info for our other vendors, as well as to nail down a shot list ahead of time as to not miss anything important on our day.The day of she caught every moment, her and her second shooter Nicole did such a great job juggling our family and friends in to all of the photos we wanted. They also made sure to capture the love of our lives (our dog Rosa) in all her glory.After the wedding she sent us sneak peaks which were AMAZING, and then the full gallery within the time she had estimated to us. We are so grateful to have such an incredible set of memories to look back on.I am so thankful for her hard work, kindness, and to have had such an amazing cheerleader both before the wedding and on the big day.

Amy photographed both our engagement shoot and our wedding day and the images we received were astounding! She was able to capture so much love and emotion, we could not have asked for more in a photographer.Amy is extremely personable and easy to get along with, always smiling and laughing. She did a great job of teaching and communicating poses and made my husband and I feel very comfortable. The output of her photos are so exceptional it's as if they are out of a magazine.Amy makes it insanely fun to have a photoshoot. You only need to look at Amy’s portfolio and blog to see that she is a talented photographer. She is consistently able to capture special moments on camera that you can cherish forever.Amy photographed our engagement and wedding photos and she is a delight to work with. From the very first meeting I knew she would make everything easy for us. She has a fine attention to detail and you can see that she loves what she does. After reading her first blog post about our engagement session I was amazed to read the fine details that she must have remembered from our first meeting (as I don’t remember telling her at all).At our wedding I had one of the worst colds and felt terrible, but thanks to makeup and Amy’s talent I don’t look sick at all in our photos – they all turned out beautiful!In addition to her talent with the camera she also has a gift with words. In her blog she paints the perfect picture of love stories that are the perfect balance of sentimental and funny. You can always see the personalities of the couples come to life through her articles. Amy is honestly one the most hardworking, kind-hearted and talented photographers in the Ottawa area. I’ll never forget the day we met her for a meet and greet at Starbucks where we instantly knew she was going to be our photographer. She made having to reschedule our wedding during Covid-19 a seamless process and we are so thankful for that. Amy’s work is absolutely beautiful and speaks for itself. We adore our wedding pictures and to this day, I still can’t believe Amy was 9 months pregnant the day of our wedding. If you’re thinking about hiring Amy Pinder Photography, do it as you will not regret it.

We chose Amy to photograph our wedding reception and I have no regrets! From the very beginning, she was friendly, open to my ideas and professional. She makes an effort to get to know her brides (and grooms!) by staying in touch via email and social media. I would often keep her up to date on various details (dress, favours, etc.) and she was always enthusiastic and supportive. Additionally, she compiled all her knowledge and experience from being a wedding photographer into a planning guide. It was extremely helpful and it gave me an idea of what to expect on the day of.We received our wedding gallery earlier than expected and it did not disappoint! We had not done an engagement session, but she made us feel right at ease and the pictures reflect this. Amy captured some wonderful candid shots and made sure to photograph all of those little details as well. I highly recommend Amy as she is easy to work with, has great communication and most importantly, talented. Thank you, Amy!

We cannot say enough positive things about Amy as our wedding photographer. She was wonderful from day one, our initial meeting. We knew we were going to choose her after 5 minutes. A year+ later and she captured both our engagement and wedding day better than we ever knew possible. Amy's attention to detail is perfect, and portrays such meaning behind it when you see the end results. She makes you feel comfortable behind the lense, and you will quickly connect with her friendly personality. I even feel like we gained a friend, as a bonus. Amy and her assistant Nicole were also amazing to work with. They were calm, creative and fun to have with us on our wedding day. We did our engagement photoshoot with Amy and loved her energy and the engagement photos she took. We received way more engagement photos than we expected and the turn around time was incredible. We received a few sneak peak photos from our wedding the next day and they were stunning. We can’t wait to see the full wedding gallery.

Wedding in August 2015.I couldn't be happier with our engagement and wedding photos from Amy. She brought a great relaxed atmosphere to the photo shoot letting my husband and I truly be our selves for the engagement photos. On the wedding day Amy was very professional and patient with our family. She was able to capture special small moments throughout the day and creative angles during the ceremony. We were so happy to have her as our photographer and can't thank her enough for the beautiful photos!
