Amazing church! Beautiful historic place ..

Very neat for Manitoba, historic and interesting. The service was welcoming and the people were friendly even though we just came to experience it from an outside perspective. The artwork and architecture was certainly not something you commonly see in this province, and the history of how it came to be from their Ukrainian roots was interesting. It was a neat way to learn another piece of Manitoba's culture. If you visit in winter, be sure to bring a coat as it felt a bit cool inside.

“ A Daytripper’s Guide to Manitoba” says this is one of the most unusual structures in Manitoba. The church and the adjoining Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes proved to be just that. Located east of Birds Hill Park on PR 212 you will see this onion-domed church and this grotto. Take time to walk around the structures.The grounds were officially closed but a friendly passing local invited us to walk through the cemetery (located to the north of structures).Tours are offered in July-October but check website for times. Heritage day on the last Sunday in August is suggested as a good opportunity to see this area and take in the usual assortment of pioneer artifacts and displays.

Really nice church an park around. However, because of Covid, when we arrived we couldn't even walk around the open spaces as there is a metal fence all around the park. The thing is neither here on Google Maps or elsewhere is this mentioned. So, DONT GO UNTIL COVID RESTRICTIONS ARE OVER

Beautiful. Sadly, we visited on a weekday and were unable to tour.

Great experience. Open for tourists except Sunday morning. Nice historic place.
