Best breeder for golden doodles!!!My family and I recently bought a puppy from Lakewood Ranch Doodles and as our first puppy we were not sure what to expect but everyone at the ranch was so kind and helpful, they answered all of our emails and reassured us about any concerns we had. We received weekly videos of our pup and got to visit him a few weeks before taking him home! the facility was so clean and we were so happy afterwards with how the visit went. Everyone there is so kind and welcoming! we brought home our puppy and have had him since the beginning of January. As my first dog i wasnt sure what to expect but our puppy is the most well behaved kind dog ive ever met. We arent fully sure but he seems to be partly trained already, we only had accidents for a couple weeks, he is developing so well and fast! he is already used to his crate sleeping through the night after a week and a half, he already rings the bell we set up when he needs to go outside and he is so loving and affectionate but very calm! he is a bit bitey which i assume is expected for a puppy since hes teething but he is already trained to sit, lie down, come touch my hand and give paws/ high fives. We are soo happy with Finley, our puppy and we all recommend Lakewood Ranch Doodles to anyone thinking of bringing home a new dog. We are so happy with the service we got and especially our puppy! :) We also did lots of research on many different breeders before proceeding wth Lakewood Ranch and we found that they were the only breeders to answer our questions efficiently and with care. They really care about the well being of their dogs and puppies and are always there to help we 100% recommend Lakewood Ranch Doodles and would advise anyone to come here to get a puppy out of all of the breeders we had researched. Cant wait to see Finley grow up with us!

I am so impressed with this breeder. We got Toby from Lakewood Ranch and he is simply the best, happy, well adjusted and I am in love. Highly recommend this breeder. As dog people know a dog's behavior and happiness tells alot about his environment. Lakewood Ranch is a 5 star plus!!

We have had our puppy for almost two months now, couldn't of asked for a better pup. Her name is Lily and she is the sweetest, calmest and most affectionate pup ever! She is our first puppy. Our experience with the staff was amazing! Thank you Lakewood for our sweet girl!!edit: She is a little over 4 years old now, i would not trade her for the world. Everyone we know says she has an amazing calm demeanour and very well mannered. She is F1b so more poodle (more prey driven) but she is the absolute best! All thanks to Lakewood Ranch, next puppy will definitely come from them!

We got our puppy (Cedar) from Lakewood Ranch Doodles on March 28th, 2020 at 11 weeks old from Happy’s litter (Rusty).  From our first initial inquiry to the selection process until delivery, Lakewood Ranch was exceptional in every way. At the 6 week picking date, we met with Vanessa who answered all of our questions and made picking our puppy a seamless experience.  At 8 weeks of age, Vanessa took Cedar home with her for 3 weeks of puppy training. She updated us on a regular basis with pictures and progress. Vanessa arranged for delivery of Cedar to our house for a very reasonable fee considering we live two and a half hours from the Ranch.  Cedar arrived with a bag of toys and supplies to make his transition even smoother. We highly recommend taking advantage of the puppy training services offered by Vanessa through Lakewood Ranch. Cedar already knew many basic commands, started house training and easily transitioned to our crate for sleeping and napping within a day.  Cedar is a smart, healthy puppy who has already become an important member and our family. Vanessa continues to be available for any questions we may have regarding Cedar. It is without hesitation that we highly recommend Lakewood Ranch to anyone looking for a new addition to their family.CCC

For context, our dog is 4 years old. We brought him home in September 2017.I want to start by saying the positives:- I love my dog very very much and would never trade him for the world- the breeder was communicative in the beginning and we visited the farm twice before purchasing our dog (in another review she mentioned she doesn’t allow visits for anyone who doesn’t buy a dog, this is a lie. Both times we visited before we put any money down)- she let us visit our puppy when he was born before he was ready to be taken home- she sent us pictures and updates so we could see how he was doingNow onto the negatives that will explain why I’m leaving a 1 star review:- we were promised a medium sized dog (max 55lbs), which is clearly stated on their website and they repeated to me numerous times over text too. Our dog is 75lbs which is too big for anyone in my family to handle, but we manage.- we were promised a dog with a good temperament. Our dog is anxious and barks at strangers and other dogs. We’ve socialized him since he was a puppy, brought him to dogtopia where he can run around in a controlled environment with other dogs, introduced him to our friends, sent him for numerous different trainings and continue to train him at home.- our dog also tends to growl at us when unhappy- the “lifetime breeder support” that they guarantee you, is just them copy and pasting things from google. The communication is extremely poor when you leave with your puppy.- her daughter trimmed his nails for us before we left and she made him bleed. She took responsibility for it but didn’t really offer much help or advice- please do not point fingers like you have with other one star reviews and blame the owners for not knowing how to care for their dogs properly. We have done so much research and care for our dog a lot. We’ve spoken to a lot of different experts and they all say that this is his personality. Again, not the personality we were promised. Our dog is now 4 years old and has improved A LOT due to his maturity and our constant training with him, however we are still afraid when we walk him and we see other dogs because he gets very excited and becomes hard to handle. Again, we have trained him, socialized him, and even hired a dog walker to help with his behaviour during walks. We have invested so much and frankly the service this breeder provided is very poor. I would never trade my dog for the world, I love him so much. But I wouldn’t recommend this breeder to anyone. Another friend just got a doodle from a different breeder and it’s personality is much better than mine when I brought him home. From the way this breeder has responded to other negative reviews, you can tell they aren’t nice people and get very defensive. This is why I took so long to even write a review. And just to reiterate, in the beginning we did text them numerous times asking for support but they just copy and pasted things from google.

I am updating my review (see original review below) to show some pictures of our Kipper now. She is almost eight months old and is a total delight! We are blessed to have her in our family. She is fun, curious and active. Her personality evolves as she grows and we enjoy every moment with her. Lakewood Ranch takes such care in breeding these dogs. We know that it is a result of them that we have such a wonderful family member.*******************************************We had a wonderful ball of joy join our family this month. She is a healthy and happy F1b coated Goldendoodle and our hearts are full. She came to us well-adjusted and familiar with the crate.Although the rules of the ranch seem strict at first, we realize that the information provided, the holistic approach and all of the guidance added up to us getting our new healthy family member. We use the information they have provided regularly and appreciate the access they have given us to their in-house trainer.We are looking forward to our journey with our Doodle. Thank you.

We got our pup from Lakewood Ranch Doodles at the end of August 2020. We had put a deposit on a specific litter early May, and after a failed pregnancy, we were offered an alternate spot in a litter with 10 puppies. Typically you get a choice of two, however, we may have been the last “addition” to this litter, so we were offered this one puppy or to wait for a different litter.The date to get this puppy was a little sooner than our original date, and with all that was going on with Covid, we decided to go for it.Well, we ended up with the sweetest puppy. When Lin guarantees a wonderful personality, she really comes through with her promise.It only took two days to have her not cry when going in the crate at night, and from the very first night, she slept from 11-6. Now, at 12 weeks, she’s in from 10:30 to 7, and she hasn’t had an accident once in her crate. I attribute this to Vanessa (who trains the pups) by having them spend the last week before going home by giving them alone time.My three boys are smitten with her, and though she is feisty at times, she is the sweetest thing ever. A perfect match for our family. Energetic, but cuddly. She makes us laugh with her silliness. But she’s also so dang smart. Anything we try to teach her, she picks up on instantly.Anyway. Our family highly recommends this breeder if you want an amazing pooch. Lakewood Ranch Doodles is an excellent place to get your puppy from.Update: with a lot of people wanting dogs through the pandemic, please do your homework. This breeder is one of the good ones, and you’ll have to wait some time. So many sad stories about puppies coming from awful breeding conditions. You should be able to ask your questions, see the parents, and know that your pup is being taken care of. Even with Covid protocols, you should feel good about where your puppy is coming from. Lin and Vanessa are busy, but they will respond. They answered questions, and we received videos. At 6 weeks, we got to meet our pup in person. As first time puppy pawrents we were so anxious... and the wait felt like forever. But once you meet your pup, you’ll know it was all meant to be.As a last point, remember, puppies are a lot of work!! We are just getting to 8 months old and finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. It’s worth it to work with your pup and struggle through training so you can have an awesome companion. Been over three years since we got our Cali. Great dog, very healthy, active and smart. Excellent companion for entire family. The other day we were out for a walk in a wooded area, she stopped and sat down refusing to move any further despite how hard i tugged on leash, very odd behaviour i had never experienced before. I then noticed a large coyote looking at us through a nearby tree line. Cali spotted it and was warning us not to move forward. Good girl!

We went to look at a doodle that we had seen online for my son with Autism 2 yrs ago. Nick ended up picking a dog who was returned to the breeder from the Taffy litter instead Hence the dogs name now Taffy! He is one of the best dogs I have ever trained, learned very quickly. Also has very good temperament. I have recommended Lakewood Ranch Doodle to a quite a few people.

We adopted a puppy (now named Cooper) from Lakewood back in December 2022 (Megan and Jack's litter), and what an amazing couple of months it has been (at times wild). Our puppy is so well behaved and captures the hearts of everyone he meets. Friends, family and even strangers have commented on his incredibly calm personality. His calm demeaner and eager to please attitude has made training so much easier. He also has a goofy side and makes us laugh daily. He has adapted so well to our family and we can't imagine life without him. Definitely a testament to the quality of dogs that Lakewood breeds. We've already recommended Lakewood Ranch to numerous friends who are looking to add a puppy to their family.
