My partner and I have gone through 2 different courses, personal sessions and have used Holly to look after our pup while we are out of town.Holly is an incredibly kind and knowledgeable trainer who actually has a background in the science of training and working with animals. This meant that whenever we had a question about why a specific method does or does not work, she was able to provide a clear and concise explanation. On top of this, she is able to provide recommendations for further learning and other materials that are helpful when we're alone with our dog.Because of Holly, our dog is doing wonderfully and is well behaved with other dogs, people, children and even cats. We believe that we owe a great amount to Holly for her help in getting our dog to be the best that she can be!

My husband and I rescued our lab/pitty mix 3 years ago and at the time did not know how severe his anxiety was. He was nervous of everything, meeting new people, people coming to the house, muzzle, harness, going to the vet. And of course our vet wouldn't see him without a muzzle, because he would show his teeth whenever she came close to him. There was even a moment when my husband was accidentally bit by our dog because he was trying to hold him down so the vet could get close. We were stuck and didn't know what to do, we called so many trainers and kept being turned away because he would not put on a muzzle and because he was not up to date with his vaccinations. That's when we found karma. I explained everything to them and they introduced us to Kristy our trainer. She was amazing, so friendly, understanding and patient with us and our dog. She was able to teach us ways to reduce his anxiety with people coming to the house, walks when we saw other dogs and most of all with the muzzle. She taught us about reading body language. My husband and I worked on what she recommended to desensitize our dog to the muzzle but we were nervous to take the next step which was actually snapping the buckle. She could sense we were nervous, and never made us feel sashamed for this, instead she stepped up and tried to do it. It was when we saw her attempt it that we had the confidence to do it on our own. And we were successful. It was such a moment of joy for my husband and I. We owe a huge thank you to Kristy and to Karma for not turning us away!!! Their positive reinforcement based training, coupled with specializing based on the dogs and family needs were huge! Kristy assessed our dog and came up with training based on his specific needs!
