McPhersons took care of my late husband’s memorial in the most compassionate and caring way, they could not do enough for my daughters and I. Dane is truly an incredible individual and his staff exemplify his process and philosophy. There was an answer to every concern and the advice given to make our Celebration of Life the best it could be was always thoughtful and generous. Then when my mother-in-law passed says later again incredible understanding and compassion. Both were laid to rest and I know that all was handled In the most professional and compassionate way possible all the while respecting what our family needs were. I highly recommend their services to all who lose a loved one. You will experience genuine support and care knowing you loved one is in great hands. A key point to remember it’s that Dane ina very gentle way gathers all the information he can about your loved one and family to ensure that your loved one is truly honoured and treated with dignity and respect. While staying in Whistler where our youngest son lives, our 32 year old son died in a tragic car accident near Cranbrook returning from a ski trip.Once my wife and son arrived in Cranbrook, Dane and his staff were instrumental in getting our him released from the coroner/hospital.Dane and his staff enabled us to see our son before cremation in a comfortable setting in a very short time frame.Their kindness , compassion and follow up with strangers to the community from Ontario will not be forgotten.We are forever, grateful.George, Rosemary and Colin

I feel like I have to share our experience of dealing with certain staff at McPhersons Funeral Services here in Cranbrook. Over the latter few years, and very recently as well my family & I have chosen to utilize the McPhersons. We found them to be very helpful, caring, & supportive, throughout the whole process of making decisions & plans for our loss.In July 2009 we lost our 2nd oldest son. At that time it was Joe who helped us with our decisions & plans for him.. he was very caring & helpful, throughout the whole planning process.In July 2021 we lost our oldest son. Again through our devastation & emotional upheaval we turned to McPhersons & counted on their help. It was a women who helped us organize & put our plans into reality.In Dec 2022, again we experienced loss yet again. This time it was my husband, and of course we depended on McPhersons. This time it was Dane who helped us to put all our ideas & plans into a comforting plan that worked for us. He was so very very respectful, friendly, caring, & genuinely sharing compassion & concern with us. Dane stayed in contact with me constantly, keeping me appraised of this or that. In a couple of instances he even stepped outside the box. Always being tentative, open to our whims, &/or last minute ideas or changes. He also loves his job and all that it involves.. and it shows. I found him to be a great people person, a fantastic listener, and a genuine caring person/friend.

Compassionate real people who genuinely care. Thanks for all your work to make this painful time easier. We did most of our pre-planning before moms death and this made the transition much less stressful when tge actually death occurred.

Efficient and compassionate. They assisted us in determining what our needs were without ever overselling. This is a business that can be trusted, which is so important when you’re in the vulnerable position of having lost a loved one.

When my husband passed away in November I had no family near me for support. I didn’t know what to expect when I went to McPhersons. Dane met me at the door with compassion and made me feel welcome and not so alone. He explained the entire process to me and was very patient in answering all my questions. Dane even helped me with putting my husband’s obituary in an out of country Newspaper. Dane and the entire staff at McPhersons went above and beyond in making a difficult situation easy for me for which I am eternally grateful.

I am writing to thank you for all your efforts in regard to our mothers service. We realize that it is your business, but believe you went well beyond the typical expectation for such an event. We were impressed by the organization of your operations and the way you made every accommodation to make the family comfortable at such a difficult time.We were more impressed by the personalized treatment that Dane displayed in the way he recognized family members by their names and took extra time to make certain that the grandchildren were at ease. He certainly was an angel of compassion at a time when a physically and mentally exhausted family was in need of a helping hand. You are definitely a credit to your profession and we would highly recommend your organization to anyone who should have a need for your service. More importantly, we believe that you are a genuinely good and caring person and we are glad that you were a part of this time in our lives.Thank you again for being there for us.

My Father passed away in November… I honestly don’t know how we would have got through everything … who knew that there is so much involved in planning the funeral of your loved one… McPherson’s made things so simple for us… They are so kind, thoughtful and helpful… from the initial contact about our loss… they walked with us through the sad journey… following up with us afterwards ❤️Though nobody wants to think about losing a loved one.. it happens.
