Mr Sako Shoe Repair

Very dirty and disorganized place. On more than one occasion I came LATER than the day my shoes were supposed to be ready for pick up - they weren’t done so I had to come back again. They keep dirty shoes on top of other shoes or even someone’s clothes. Often took a long time to find my pair and they would even give me someone else’s pair first. They don’t pick up their phone, horrible customer service. The prices are quite high for such poor service. Disappointed. Gave this shop a second chance - still messed up. Wasted time coming back.

Amazing service, very humble, very kind owner and employee Sako and Lalita. Mr Sako has fixed multiple shoes of mine both casual and designer (gucci, Louboutin, monola) gucci purse and he's fixed them perfectly. He's brought my shoes back to life. Lalita looks after the front (alteration and dry cleaning) all my expensive Ted Baker dresses I leave with her knowing it'll be taken care of! Been coming here for many years.

It's closed!!! Can't understand why these guys don't update their pages or sites. They want Google reviews and ratings...absolutely bad. On weekend morning I went there to find out its moved. Horrible. Then called to find out that they are at another plaza. But was disappointed so left it and went to another shop nearby. Please display. It's will pay you.

I have just got my three pairs of new shoes that needed shoe soles back from Mr. SAKO. And they are beautiful. He delivered them to me himself 9:30pm because I need them in urgently and he couldn't get them done before he closed the store. I'm so touched I don't know what to say, this is the best shoe repair store I've ever been and I know I will keep going back in the future as well!

He leaves everything to attend to you. Great man, asks questions and answers all my concerns. Highly recommended.

Price is a bit high, even higher than some stores in downtown. Was looking to do a full replacement of my second hand redwing beckmans 9011, but mr sako convinced me to only replace the heel.i guess i will do the full replacement elsewhere later.Waited 3 days to pick up my boots, and I think he did a pretty good job, cleaned up the edges good enough, some glue stains on the bottom. And he used Cat's Paws heels (apparently discontinued for quite some time now) for my replacement.

Very disappointed in the service. Damaged my shoes and did not take responsibility for it, instead was given the option to deal with the irreversible damage in the shoe or take it somewhere else. Would not recommend.

I write this with a heavy heart. We have been coming here for a very long time - nearly 30 years. In general the dry cleaning service has been great, and the shoe repair service has been gruff but effective (totally fine by me).But I have no time for service providers who don’t respect their customers or own up to their mistakes. I brought a pair of very nice shoes for a basic heel sanding and repair.When the shoes came back it was clear that a noticeable (roughly 10cm2) area of the leather had been sanded (and thus ruined). When I went back to the store, the owner was rude, disrespectful, and dismissive. He tried to blame the construction of the shoe itself and took no accountability for having made the mistake of sanding the leather. He rubbed a little bit of cream on the area and told me that if I wanted it fixed I could go somewhere else. I asked very politely for a refund, to which he effectively threw the money back at me and shoved it in the shoe after making a snide remark. There was no willingness on the part of the owner to make the situation right.There are plenty of dry cleaners and shoe repair shops in the city. Mistakes happen and I am generally very accommodating and understanding. But I don’t have patience for proprietors who do not take accountability for those mistakes.I will not be returning.

Dropped off a dress here and the lady that helped me was great! Had me try it on to see just how much I should get hemmed off the bottom. They were very busy when I dropped it off, but she still had the dress back to me within 2 days. Incredible service, I will be taking clothes back here again for sure.

Very pleasant to deal with. He has repaired heels on my shoes and boots in the past and I was pleased with the results. Very reasonable repair prices.
