I had received a quote in the summer of 2018 for landscaping work to raise my interlock for my front entrance and redo the narrow interlock border down both sides of the driveway. In addition, they were to re-glue several blocks on my front step which didn’t even last over winter. They also were to (only) raise a small decorative stone wall around my bay window. When they reinstalled it, they had cut the blocks much shorter and set them tight against the wood frame of my bay window, not allowing air to circulate under the joist frame. They had to come back to fix that - their solution was to cut the top stone cap 2-3 inches back making it narrower in width and not move the small wall back to where it was originally as now the blocks were too short and they would have to replace them (which they wouldn’t).The contract was poorly managed from the beginning with labourers showing up not knowing what was required and having no paperwork. In addition, the cost increased more than $800 for additional stone edging down both sides of the driveway. The labourers themselves later said they dont normally do that, nor was it part of my original contract?!! Now I have a 3-inch curb to climb with the lawnmower where before I didn’t have any - it was flush to the lawn. Despite numerous attempts and promises to have remedial work done during all of 2019, I am left with this disaster (see photos above)..... absolutely NOT ACCEPTABLE. They are a small outfit taking over from a company in Gatineau that closed its doors, and they can’t manage the workload. After sales service is below par. I have also posted in google maps with several more photos of the rip-shod work. Not acceptable. No solution offered. No compensation suggested. Nothing!
