Anytime Fitness
Recently just finished training with Coach Chris Helwig at Anytime Fitness in London Ontario. At my age 71, Coach Chris encouraged me daily by slowing me down when needed and increasing numbers when necessary. No setbacks or injuries in the 7 months I was with Anytime Fitness. I want to encourage any older person looking to improve their strength and stamina to give Coach Chris a call, the value is worth it, you won’t regret it.

As someone who’s attended an array of commercial gyms I feel a special sense of pride using Mike and his teams Anytime location. The space is always clean, well maintained ( equipment fixed when broken promptly) and above all it’s very evident the management and team serve to meet the needs of making fitness accessible for all. You can attend this gym and see training sessions supporting a whole array of populations (geriatric to gym rats) while still serving as a highly functional space for individual gym goers and beyond. I appreciate and don’t take for granted how evident it is that the ownership preferences functionality, accessibility, cleanliness, and safety. Thank you Mike and team.

I've been going to this location and working with Coach Chris Helwig since November 2022 and have had a great experience so far. In 8 months, Coach Chris has helped me lose 35 lbs of fat and gain 4 lbs of muscle. Coach Chris has always been responsive to adjusting our program to meet my goals while taking my schedule and activity outside of the gym into account.I also wanted to say, the members and especially the staff of the gym have been really friendly and professional. The gym is a good size for people who can easily get overwhelmed and intimidated by a bigger commercial gym. With the newly renovated area, I can only see this gym getting nicer. The membership also conveniently lets me visit other Anytime Fitness locations while I'm travelling but so far, this location has always been my favourite.

A quiet gym that is not busy. I love the 24x7 access anytime fitness offers which is awesome for shift working people. It doesn't have a lot of equipment as somewhere like crunch fitness, so manage your expectations. There are few crossfit equipment as well as a punching bag which I appreciated. cleanliness of the place could be better

Coach Mike was easy to talk to when I first visited the gym. I liked the enthusiasm he had in his previous texts to me, and I felt comfortable talking about my health and fitness level with him in-person. He did not judge at all! Instead, he told me how AF can help me change things. He mentioned a few different plans, at different price points, but focused on things that I had told him I needed to keep me going and improving. I purchased a 6-week small group work-out plan right away. I knew that it was what I had been looking for: not a long commitment, it would show results, and there was an opportunity to get to know others with similar goals.Coach Jen did my assessment and lead my first group class. She made me feel really comfortable. I had not stepped into a gym environment in years.... and years...lol. As an older adult I knew I needed to get healthier, but I also needed an inclusive environment, or I would not stick with it. She patiently showed me how to do the assessment exercises and was very encouraging. She made me feel like the level that I was able to do was amazing, even though I was aware that I was really out of shape. I have joined a few gyms in my younger days, and have never felt this comfortable.The class I attended was the best! There were 5 of us. We were not just a number -- she knew our names and knew how to keep us focused and challenged, in the most supportive way. Everyone welcomed me and it didn't take long for me to feel part if the group.I did a lot of searching before I reached out to Mike at AF. I did not want to join a gym, ever again, that I would just quit going to, and waste my money. I believe I've found my place.

I wanted to get fit, so back in November 2022, Anytime fitness was advertising a six week challenge program, were you could exercise and lose 20 pounds. This consisted of a nutritional coach and an exercise regiment of three group exercise classes a week. During the six weeks, I attended the 12 noon classes and Chris Helwig was the coach for most of these classes. He was great. He motivated the class and also made it fun. I loved these classes and also the camaraderie of the group. After the six week program and a schedule change, I started taking one-on-one personal training classes with Chris. If you are thinking of joining Anytime Fitness, and want personal training, please check out the one-on-one coaching sessions with Chris; you will love the sessions.

Great gym ! Clean ... actually spotless. So far everyone I have met has been really nice. Good selection of well maintained equipment. Open 24 hours 365 days a year.

Just started at this gym a few weeks ago. Signed up for 3x a week small group training classes. I really enjoy them so far. Everyone is friendly. It's a small gym that doesn't get overcrowded and loud with people. Staff are friendly and helpful. Prices are affordable. Just what I needed.

I highly recommend trainer Chris Helwig. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, kind and understanding and strives to make your sessions both enjoyable and fruitful. He has coached biking, running and fitness for many years and knows how to deal with all ages...and believe me I know.. I am 75! So if you want to improve your strength and fitness he's the guy for you!
