Motel 6 Headingley, MB - Winnipeg West

A few days ago, while I was on a long-distance trip, I needed a place to stay for a day in the middle of the journey. So, I made a reservation online and checked in. The assigned room was on the second floor, and after unpacking and taking a shower, I went to bed right away.However, I couldn't sleep well; it was like a nightmare. There were frequent tapping sounds coming from the floor below. The subtle vibrations and noise transmitted through the bed made it difficult for me to fall asleep. At first, I thought it might be the person sleeping downstairs getting annoyed by the noise I was making from the upper floor. But even after one hour, two hours, three hours passed, it continued. So, I went downstairs to check it out. However, it turned out to be the reception counter. From a quick glance, it didn't seem like a room where other travelers would stay; it appeared to be the manager's room. I called out, but there was no response. Eventually, I couldn't sleep for even an hour, and since the next destination of my trip was quite far, I decided to leave early at 5 o'clock in the morning due to the noise. To those who are reading this, please be cautious of the room I had reserved.And I didn't even make any noise, I just walked quietly within my room. If I was disturbed by the noise from the floor above, it's truly unacceptable. Did the manager who was at the counter deliberately do that to me? The next day, I went to Super 8, which was much more comfortable, cozy, and quiet, and it was even $20 cheaper.

The hotel can only be reached using the highway from the west. Slushy is offered to guests only after 10:00 am. For the pleasure of guests they can have a orange or a muffin. It wasn’t worth the $230 plus dollars.The decor was outdated.

Good newish hotel outside of Winnipeg that is very dog friendly. Front desk service when we checked in was great! Rooms were clean and well furnished. Nice back grass area for dogs to do their business. Within a 5-10 min drive to a few good takeout places. Overall great hotel for the price!

Stayed here for 2 nights May 26/27. Although location was not ideal, we were still able to get to the sights we were interested in. The motel itself was completely acceptable, staff were friendly and helpful, and we had a couple quiet nights. Breakfast could be improved but it was still adequate. A great bonus is the level 2 ev charger, very convenient to charge up where you stay!!

Had such a nice 2 days here. The swim area was nice and clean. We sure made use of the hot tub and pool. The rooms were comfortable. Great front service, nice and friendly. We definitely will be back.

I stay in a hotel more than 275 nights per year... I can find something wrong with any hotel if i put my mind to it...I, honestly, have only ever had a single issue at this hotel (i have stayed here on business plenty for many years) and that was during covid. A guest smelled the elevator up with his smoking smell from outside.. i know not a real issue..The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and there is plenty of space... It is a basic low cost option, but i feel it is worth more than i pay... I have the option of higher end hotels in the city, but choose to stay here every time as my first phone call when make My travel plans. I will continue to stay here and always make them my first call when i am in the area...

My experience is not like everyone elses on here. First staff are lovely, wonderful ppl, building and rooms are clean. Every booking site says free breakfast" ... There is no breakfast

It's a low-end hotel. I wasn't expecting much. The room was the smallest I have ever been in and an awkward design. The bathroom was fine. Everything was clean. The bed was the absolute worst I have ever slept in. Very hard. You could get a better bed at Ikea. We seriously thought about switching hotels it was so uncomfortable. But we were staying with another couple that they did accommodate us by putting us across the hall from one another. Overall, it's ok. You get what you pay for. We will be spending the extra funds on a better hotel from now on.

The motel is right off hwy 1 but in a quiet area. The access to the motel is somewhat confusing but hopefully there will be a set of traffic lights in the future. There is no access if you are travelling west as you will have to go further along the highway and double back. But, the staff and rooms are very good. I was disappointed that they didn’t have a coffee maker in the room but there is a small room on the main floor that you can get beverages and snacks to take to your room. We were not impressed with the nearby local diners. We would stay here again but go into the city for meals.
