The Art of Stone

Art of Stone was my choice for a kitchen countertop renovation. They have a large quantity of slabs on site to choose from with some on sale. The prices in HRM are higher than what I'm used to in the Toronto area, so I spent a lot of time shopping at different locations before picking this one. The price is the only reason for the 1 star drop, knowing that there are $35-$45/sqft prices in GTA, vs HRM's $60-$80/sqft. The service was very good. It took 3 weeks from the time we ordered to the delivery. The installers too, were knowledgeable and friendly. I would go to them again.

Yesterday, one of their vans was driving a few inches behind me and was swerving all over the place. i was going the speed limit and there was also someone in front of me. then as the driver passed me, he spat out his window at my car. never been in the store but i definitely won’t be going in now!

I had the Mandala Supreme granite installed throughout the kitchen. Their installation team was very knowledgeable. When they found an issue with the installation due to my old kitchen cabinet design, they brought back the stone to re-cut a new piece and assured that they would make it work.They really want you as a customer to be happy and the truly stand behind their workmanship.Very impressed and happy with the whole renovation. Love our experience with the Art of Stone. Sandy helped us with professional advices and she really listen to what we wanted, it was a pleasure working with her. The workers that installed the counters were very good and efficient, the result is amazing!

Extremely pleasant experience with the installation of our granite shower unit. Installers were very informative and quite efficient. Work was done in an unobtrusive manner and they cleaned up everything at the end of the installation. Would say that I can recommend The Art of Stone to our friends and relatives. They also had a great selection in the store.

I was in this store recently because we are renovating our kitchen, and a woman named Sandy 'helped' me realize that if you want good customer service, or even to be acknowledged and not be treated like an inconvenience, then you need to go somewhere else. After ignoring us in the empty store for a while, she finally came over and asked if she could help us in a nasty, short tone. Then as we explained what we were looking to do, she consistently interrupted us to say that we were looking for a specific kind of material and that they dont carry it there, or that we were too late in a reno to purchase something from them, without even fully listening to us. It was pretty obvious that she meant we were not the kind of customers they wanted in their business. We left feeling angry and disappointed, and went to Home Depot up the road where we were immediately treated to way better service and quickly had the starting steps for our renovation in place. The Art Of Stone missed out as we will be going to home depot or another hardware store for all future renovations, and based on our experience with this store we will be suggesting the same for others. Never met a sales person so unfriendly and unprofessional. Absolutely disgraceful.

Just want to thank the staff of European Stone and Marble for their professionalism and craftsmanship. Mark arrived promptly and accurately measured the site. He then assisted in matching up the color and the type of stone to be used for my kitchen counters. Job well done.
