HSBC Bank

Brought cash from my wife’s baby shower to deposit. They looked at me like I was bringing a bomb in. Teller said she can’t deposit ‘that kind of cash’. Manager came over and told me I should bring it to CIBC (where I do business banking). I never felt more terrible trying to bank. It’s a shame that people treat others like this and that I am nearly sure that branch will he closed one day soon and the taxes I pay will be used to support the useless staff since they won’t get jobs anywhere else.

I had to take a newly arrived relative to open an account at HSBC, because it's easier for her parents to transfer money to him. This was the closest to York U. I was hesitant to go to this place due to the horrid review. But I was pressed for time so I went anyway. We get there at 5:30, and the rep said they can't do it today, because it takes 45 mins and said to come in another day. I'm thinking to myself, is this some kind of a joke? What kind of mickey mouse operation are these people running? What kind of business turns customers away? Honestly, this was one of the worse customer service experience I've ever had. Bottom line, avoid this place, it's a joke.

I had an account at this branch 5 years ago, went into today to get information and speak to a financial advisor. Met Vitaly the teller and asked to speak to an advisor, I waited for 5 minutes and watched him laugh at his computer screen... He then told me they were unavailable. There were 2 advisors clearly without clients doing nothing and I was told they were busy! Great customer service. Not to mention the unprofessionalism of Vitallya teller..... Please have qualified people doing customer service work. Truly disappointed

Walked in to get smaller Bill's for a hundred dollar bill, the guy at the counter on April 3rd 11:30am, told me they don't service unless you have an account with them. The guy told me to try national bank.This is the reason why you guys will never be a major bank in Canada. Bigger banks like bmo, rbc does it for me all the time. Small things like this goes a long way.Canadians bank with major canadian bank not these small banks originated from China!

Competitive rates and nice place, but trying to get hold of someone on the 1st call or visit is next to impossible.

If you are looking for good service THIS IS NOT THE BANK TO BE WITH. In my opinion HSBC is excellent in Europe & Asia BUT not in Canada. The staff here in Canada is highly unprofessional and lack even basic knowledge, customer service & English language skills. To make experience worse, the Vaughan Mills (Vaughan, ON, Canada) branch manager Rose Testani" lacks management skills

Met with Sandra to go over my investments. I got my bonus as promised and decided to keep it with my portfolio for the great service!

Hsbc are terrible, I wasted my 30mins still could not call direct to the branch. Why they don't have direct branch direct number like other banks. So frustrated..

Great service and great staff. Not sure what all the other reviews are about doesn’t make any sense to me.
