Hippo in the Bathtub Inc.

Staff was amazing facility is horrible!!! The pool is covered by plastic tarps trapping all the chlorine fumes with no air ventilation and the heat cranked up!!! Could hardly breathe !! I feel bad for the staff breathing that in all day … possible future lung complications for the staff after long term exposure?So actually a salt water pool still has chlorine but in a smaller amounts and I can tell you there was no dehumidification system running in that bubble. So due to the fact it’s enclosed in a “bubble” as you say ..the plastic tarps trap that severe chlorine smell. I’ve never in my life come across a pool with that amount of chlorine smell!! And putting toddlers into that ? My eyes were burning!!!

The facility is very underwhelming on the outside but once you step inside, both the facility and the staff and very welcoming and comfortable. For years my daughter swam at the larger facilities with multiple other kids but she fell behind in her lessons. With Hippo in the Bathtub, she got dedicated one on one lessons in a fun environment without all the distractions of a larger recreation center and other kids. Highly recommend this company for swimming lessons!!!

Love this place. My 2.5 yr old is having an amazing experience learning to swim.All of the instructors ive interacted with have been phenomenal and are amazing with children. Highly recommend. Very clean space and they strictly follow covid protocols with cleaning and social distancing.

My daughters are currently getting weekly lessons from Sophie and she is absolutely amazing! She is great with kids and definitely the best swim instructor we’ve ever had. She is super kind, motivating, and makes it very fun. My 5 year old has made amazing progress the last few weeks too. Highly recommend!

We have had such a wonderful experience at this facility. My children take semi-private lessons together once a week. It's so nice to come in once, have both lessons completed, and be done for the week. I'm able to sit on the couch and read while my kids swim under the care of excellent instructors. The lessons are tailored to my kids' needs and my eldest is progressing at an incredible rate. Also - we LOVE that the pools are salt water. My son has sensitive skin and this is so important for us.

We absolutely loved our swimming lessons and will be signing up next year for sure. The instructor was prompt and flexible and awesome and my son, he in particular, thrived. He improved so much in 4 weeks it was amazing.

Very poor experience. We saved and scrounged and booked $1900 worth of lessons for our 4 kids for the whole summer...and now, because of restrictions, we are unable to use them this year. We need this money so we can do other activities for our children this summer but they are unwilling to give us a refund. I understand this is a tough time for small businesses, however it is also a tough time for families. They are keeping our money and refuse to give it back. Very sad.

My Daughter has been doing swimming lessons at Hippo in the bathtub for the past 7 months and she has improved so much it's incredible. She was at another private swimming lesson center before and was struggling -- Hippo has a great set up!We also booked a mermaid party for her in our own backyard pools and it was INCREDIBLE! The staff were beyond amazing and ran the whole party for us. Having the peace of mind for parents is worth it and the girls loved being mermaids.. We will be re-booking again next year!!

My son was TERRIFIED of water . He was refusing to even walk in the water . Sarah our coach has been amazing. Currently, my son can swim with assistance. Next step is swimming independently . Highly recommend Hippo in the bathtub. Very professional and excellent communication
