Painted Pretty Hair Lounge

After having a poor experience with extensions Hope Charanek came to my rescue in fixing them and now they feel amazing! All the ladies at Painted Pretty are extremely professional and experienced.

This salon is not reliable. First they would not give me an appointment with a girl I asked for Ashley they said that her Tuesday appointment wasn’t long enough for my highlights - then why not say that online on the booking app? (Which would have let me book it) So I phoned & booked because that app has never worked right for me sometimes it books you when you didn’t finish it.I called on a Thursday for an appt. on a Saturday they gave me a senior stylist JJ MANES?(on Insta), for hilights and a cut cost: $365 + blow dry and style + conditioner plus more for color- they must use very expensive bleach!) i generally pay $225 + tip with a top senior stylist at a salon like Diva. But they say they are good so I booked. 10Am Sat morning I was left a voicemail while in the shower that the stylist could not make it today. It was at 2 pm. They would get me in next week. Why would I reschedule? ***Last year I called them and nobody phoned back all week. I had to Instagram message a girl who worked there Brie Bell who was kind enough to answer. she is off now. Seems like places that rely mostly on Instagram can never make it to their appointments or are late. They should match their customer service to their marketing!!

I got my hair done by Mar and she is amazing!! She was so fun to talk to and hang out with and she gave me exactlyyyy what I wanted with my hair colour, cut, and style. All the ladies in the salon are super friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly highly recommend this salon. Best in Calgary !

I’ve been seeing Ronit for years & she’s honestly the best! I first came to her when I was doing chemo treatments & my hair was super thin and brittle. I seriously feel she’s nursed my hair back to health (to the point where my real hair is growing as long as my extensions.) She always does an amazing job with colour & blending my extensions. Most importantly making sure that your real hair is taken care of in the process as well. She’s so talented, genuine and kind! I will never see anyone else. All the other girls that work there are super sweet & talented as well. 10/10!!

Ashley did my hair before I leave for my wedding in a week, I was a bit nervous as she hadn’t done my hair before but she did an amazing job and was so easy to talk to! Had a great experience

Taara is the absolute best! This salon is so wonderful it’s so nice, bright and open. The atmosphere is wonderful and all the stylists make you feel so at home and comfortable! The prices of this salon are so reasonable. Taara is a literal hair god! I always get asked who does my hair and get so many compliments on my hair. I have gotten my hair done by her for the last four years and I will never go anywhere else ever again. I am so thankful for her. I have given her total creative control and freedom over my hair and I never regret it.

I love going to get my hair done at Painted Pretty! I see either Tara or Mar (they’re sisters) and they’re both amazing!! I don’t trust many people with my hair but I trust them to always make my hair look beautiful! They always manage to give me exactly what I want or we figure out together what would be best/look the best for my hair and they never disappoint!!! 10/10 recommend :)

Nicola aka Nikki (@nicolaclairehair) has the magic touch.She is an incredible talented hair stylist! She is the only person I trust with my hair. I am a perfectionist and super picky with my hair - but Nikki has not disappointed me.She listens to my hair concerns/requests and executes the style I want, to a T. She takes her time with her work and her attention to detail is impeccable!I have had long hair for as far as I remember and desperately needed a change. I wanted the modern short blonde hair and Nikki provided just that. I’ve received so many compliments and have been referred her to all of my friends. Even my Toronto friends want to come see her now.I highly recommend Nikki. Not only is she talented and professional, but she is also the kindest, most thoughtful person I’ve ever met!

I recently saw Mar to do my hair for a wedding. Not only is she the sweetest, she’s amazing at what she does too! I have extremely difficult hair, it barely holds a curl. When Mar styled my hair it lasted until the next day! I was amazed. Definitely would recommend her for your next service.

Always an incredible experience with Shaun when it comes to your hair! He’s a magical when it comes to blondes! He’s been styling my hair in Vancouver and now here in Calgary, has helped me maintain my bright blonde while keeping it healthy. I always leave the salon feeling like a new person, not to mention how much of a treat he is to talk to! By far my favourite stylist I’ve had, highly recommend booking in with him!
