The Battlefields Park
Beautiful well kept park overlooking the St.Lawrence River. Wonderful place for a picnic or walk. We enjoyed seeing the historical monuments as well

The Battlefields Park
Absolutely incredible place to visit. And best of all it is free. In these days of runaway inflation under an ineffective and corrupt federal government it is nice to have places like this to take your family to. The walks here are great. Perfect for both small children and pets. You can play games here too. Like football, soccer and rugby. Also I saw some frisbee players here.

Nice and clean kept park to hang around or go for a walk on a nice day. There’s a few things to see and do in the vicinity to keep you busy and some paid parking available as well.

The Battlefields Park
The park is enormous. It spans a huge distance and had tons of historical pit stops. Lots of grassy areas to sit and play and picnic. I would say though there are two huge downfalls:1. The paths are terrible... we had a stroller and there would often be crosswalks that did not dip down ti allow the stroller to pass easily. We had to off road.2. The actual trails, paths, locations of different landmarks and how to get there...non existent. You have to use Google maps or wander. It is not easy nor obviois how to get everywhere. You would think with all the obvious money the government invests in Quebec City that they would improve the accessibility of their main park...

This place is a must! To have more informations on Quebec City history or just to hang out. Sports: Cross-country skiing and skating in the winter time, roller or running otherwise. The colors of the nature, the air, the view. Everything is wonderful. This is truly the heart of the region. Have fun discovering Quebec's history, visit the Martello tours.

The Battlefields Park
Wonderful walk through history - but has great hiking and walking trails through the woods as well. Nice pavilions and fountains. This is where the Battle of the Plains of Abraham took place and the British took over Quebec from the French in the 1750's. The trails here lead down to the Citadel and old Wall in Old Quebec city. Wonderful green space - and make sure you check out the museum at the end of the park!

You can see cannons on the side of the park that has a historical significance of the last battle, it has great views over the river!

Depending on when you go, you can find free 1 hour parking along Av. Ontario. The main attractions aren't well marked so, if you're coming to see the Plains of Abraham or other history pieces, know where you're going before you get there.
