If you live in Barrhaven, you are not more than 10 min away from this beautiful place. For any casual summer evening walk, this is my go to!For kids, every Sunday, their mill actually works, where they explain the functioning of it, as per their actual era.We recently found they have farmers market here too. and Nov, they have Christmas markets which can be fun from impromptu visits!

Released the girl from the mill. It is no longer haunted. Love that you can buy duck feed! Cool little adventure

One of the best preserved mills in Ontario. Spencerville Mill and Museum and Babcock Mill in Odessa are also marvelous.

A lovely location for an evening stroll, with the Remembrance garden and Veterans’ Way beside it, dam behind, and the heart of Manotick a few steps away.Such a beautiful stone building, and the setting - with trees towering all around and a river flowing by - is unbeatable.

The mill was very interesting. We bought the delicious honey wheat bread. It would be nice to have more small souveniers about the mill. We did not go on Sunday so we didn’t see the flour grinding demo but I am sure that would be fun. It was a nice area and we walked around to see several bakeries and the museum. Great visit.

I didn't go in or visit the museum but the whole are is nice. Walking paths around the river have plenty of sitting chairs. The view are beautiful. Then walked around checking the old houses which mostly were converted into restaurants some with outdoor patio. Very nice for relaxing afternoon

Beautiful location. Great place to have a picnic as you listen to the river. Mill wasn't open when I was most recently there, May 6 2023, but I have been inside and there are some very interesting articles in there. The story of the mill is fascinating as well.

Went out to Manitick today and visited Watson's Mill. There were displays with the history of the mill. The grounds and parks nearby were nicely kept. I can see how people would enjoy the mill and area around. The people in the mill didn't say much. However, when I asked a question, they were quite nice.

Interesting place to take the kids and see some living history still in the works (buy some mill bread nearby if you can). Good fishing from the dam and nice green space around too.
