Living where I am, I feel wonderfully safe with the city's main fire station just blocks away. With a memorial for the fallen on the scene reminding all of us of the dangers of the profession, we can greater appreciate the contribution the fire department makes.

My neighbors apartment was on fire and I'm the tenant underneathIt took less that 4 minutes for the fire department to show up and took the effort of covering anything that could be water damagedI came into my home with minimal damage to any of my things
