This is just my opinion. You can put lipstick on a pig and it still is what it is. If they did not practice cleanliness in the old spot why would they change. For me I will never go back. P

Food is great, people are awesome; love this place. The only problem I have is that recently most of our Breaded Shrimp had a dark line (see photo) in the Shrimp. This material is not harmful, but also not appetizing. It can be cleaned out during prep.Thank you for your hard work and good food.

This is a family favorite. The wonton soup broth is better than any I've had elsewhere. Really great variety on the buffet, friendly and warm atmosphere. I guess the building is dated, but I've heard they are moving locations soon. I hope the cozy vibe continues!

I tried their dinner buffer. The food was tastes good. But not much selections on buffet. The staff behavior is very good and place is neat and clean. The price also reasonable.

The food, when it was available, was good. Unfortunately many of the bins at the buffet table were empty on each of 4 trips to the buffet. We continued going to the buffet hoping to get the dishes that had been empty, with no luck. The restaurant had just reopened in a new location, so hopefully they were experiencing growing pains. The $22 per plate cost was not justified given that we were repeatedly unable to fill our plates because of the empty buffet table. We were never able to get over 1/3 of the dishes that should have been on the buffet.

The staff are wonderful and friendly. Great food and came here frequently, but now it costs $30 for supper with tax and tip. I can go to a sit down restaurant such as East Sides or Finnegans and be served a great meal and dessert for that. Yes, food costs have increased, but a self-serve buffet has traditionally been slightly cheaper. Their overhead is decently lower than a regular restaurant as you do not need as many servers, and they are not continuously open for service throughout the day. Too bad, I just go alot less and they make less money, and I'm sure there are others who feel the same.

New Star Restaurant
Great restaurant! New location. Everyone loves the buffet options. As a person with dietary restrictions it is harder to figure out what I can and cannot eat. Luckily I don't have an allergy but just an intolerance so if I thought the dish may have gluten in it, i just stayed away from it.
