I had a follow-up appointment, the nurse was with it--smart, caring and professional. The building is beautiful and the support staff were super friendly

There are a lot of bad reviews. And it is sad. But there are some amazing people that work at wabano. Who really care about the clients that go there. The five stars is for them. The counselor who see you even when they are just about to go home. The medical receptionist who squeezes you in. The doctor who actually listens. That is what makes wabano great.

This place is awful. I was accepted by intake and told to pay to move my medical records here. I did so, and called to make my appointment only to be berated on the phone for being non status. Why did they accept me and have me move my records over then? Why is an Indigenous center being nasty to their own community? This is supposed to be a welcoming safe space. Now I don't have a doctor and they're sitting on my medical records for no reason.

No idea why they have bad reviews. My Dad gets help from them when they can. Yes kinda slow on the call backs but it’s simply because they are busy. Patience is important. Continue on helping those in need. Not many places help anyone anymore. Keep it up ;)

Although i haven't yet been there in person it my intention that the Wabano experience as well as the --------- will be reflected in plans for the proposed Murray Sinclair / Yvan St Jean Nature Preserve

Excellent staff, toxic management. Regan Forester has already written an excellent review that I agree with. This review is just to let you know nothing has changed. Well, not for the better at least. The investigation of financial mismanagement that was to be completed by November 2021 was never released. Their subsequent loss in funding for the fiscal year that followed has meant they've dumped many Indigenous people from their roster for not having a membership. Urban Indigenous Person for generations? Too bad for you. Metis Federation took your card away because they think you now qualify as First Nations? Too bad for you. ISC has your application for a status card sitting in a pile for 3 years and hasn't processed it yet? Too bad for you. Great nurse. Amazing Nurse Practitioner. They had a great doctor who just quit in the autumn. But at the top of it, bad executive management. They don't care. They're no better than the settler.

Too far away for folks living in Kanata, very rough part of town, it is not wheelchair friendly at all, they never return your calls at the medical center after you leave your name & number and as if all that wasn't bad enough, I didn't feel as though I was getting good medical care. The building looks pretty but the looks are not why I was looking to attend.

Doctors are amazing here! Some of the NPs watch out, Sarah Metcalfe made it seem like she was watching out for me by looking into it" and had my medical files for years
