Plaza Premium Lounge Vancouver (US Departures)

Sorry, but the lounge is just not great. I agree with an earlier post that said it was like an upscale food court. I’ve been in lounges before that are quiet and nicely lit, and which offer a variety of food choices. This is bright, fairly noisy, and the food is like you would get at a hotel buffet : sausages, hash browns, eggs, and various pastries. There is some relatively comfortable seating, but it’s limited. Most of the seating is like a cafeteria.I booked online, but the front desk receptionist ( not particularly friendly or helpful) had a hard time finding my reservation.I booked for two hours, but after 40 minutes, I’m ready to go.The one advantage is that I didn’t have to stand in line for breakfast. I don’t know if that’s worth $50.

One of the Plaza Premium lounges is located in the yvr international terminal for USA Departure. It is on the left when you are heading toward your gate in the E section, you can hardly miss it.If you are seated by the window, you would be able to view the international passenger's arrivals through the customsBreakfast has quite a selection on cooked food with eggs, sausage, potato. Not much selection on drinks, the mixed cocktail would require payment

The lounge is small, but I think they use the space pretty well. Good food selection although for someone who doesn’t eat pork or beef, protein options are sometimes lacking. Also, for some reason they placed their coffee machine behind the bar, so if you want a latte or any decaf option you need staff to get it for you. There’s no bar staff until 9:30am, so you are out of luck for a decaf coffee drink. Maybe start brewing decaf coffee at least…

This lounge had a decent selection of food and drinks, but it is definitely not as nice as other lounges at this airport. It is one of the most basic lounges that I have been to around the world. There are a few seating options: high top tables, a couple of work stations, regular height tables and some lounge chairs with a tiny side table. There is a nice view of the international arrivals hall. Check-in to the lounge was fairly efficient. There are only a couple of bathrooms, so it might be more efficient to use the outside bathrooms. If entry is free for you, enjoy! If you need to pay to enter, you might want to get a nice meal at one of the food vendors instead.

The decor in the lounge is very nice, you can certainly tell it's new. However as a lounge pass member I am a bit surprised at the max 4 drinks stamp voucher. The drinks are very limited for what is offered complimentary. They free pour your highballs drinks and are barely pouring an ounce in each drink. They should be using a jigger. The food selection is quite good and fresh. The coffee machine is new and fast but the coffee in the machine isn't great. The service was wonderful and fast while I was visiting. There is no lounge specific wifi which is a bit disappointing.

Nice lounge on the US departures side - happy it’s open after their renovations! Good breakfast fare of eggs, sausages, toast, hash browns, coffee, cakes, cereal etc. Good amount of seating with outlets. Clean washrooms and showers too. 4 complimentary alcoholic beverages per visit, and a charge on more premium drinks and cocktails.

Been here a few times and really like the new renovations. Food is good for a airport lounge and nice bar. It can get really packed. They stopped offering priority pass here.

Over Glorified Cafeteria?While the service from all the staff was very friendly and attentive, the overall surroundings were sparse. Apparently they have done some sort of reno and changed the seating and design compare to pictures seen on the web. There were no recliners at all and very Limited comfortable seating. The food options were also very lacklustre. Felt like the same quality as you get at some hotels as a free breakfast.I left feeling it was overpriced when comparing other lounges for the same price at other airports ie WestJet lounge in Calgary.Also please update your website to show that the bar has different hours from the main lounge.Will not use again for any USA bound trips
