Coach Dan does a great job with the kids. They improved noticeably at fielding grounders after just a few sessions, and he has a lot of great drills to work on swing mechanics, bat path, as well as teaching the mental approach to the game.Lots of coaches can teach skills, but where Dan excels is in building a rapport with the kids by running active sessions, giving them interesting baseball tidbits, and mixing in some fun things to teach them that they may not yet use but enjoy trying (like learning to throw cut fastballs and changeups), all of which keeps them engaged and looking forward to their next session.Highly recommended!

For the last couple years we’ve been taking our son down to Bellingham for private baseball lessons, then COVID put an end to that last spring. After that he was a bit lost without any formal ball training, and his motivation and desire to play the sport started to wane. Then in the fall a friend recommended Dan to us. After our first session with him, we knew he was exactly what our son needed. Dan was immediately able to analyze his swing to determine what wasn’t working for him. He then gave him simple instructions that really made sense, and that he was able to incorporate to improve his ability to hit the ball. Dan puts the right amount of intensity and positivity into each session and that really motivates our son to work hard. He’s worked with Dan about 2-3 times a month since September, and our son is now hitting the ball harder than we’ve ever seen him hit. But most importantly, he’s hitting with a lot more confidence! And not only has he helped immensely with hitting, he has also tweaked things with his throwing, and again we’ve seen incredible improvements in that area as well. As neither my husband nor I are ball players, we’re really at a loss for how to guide him to be able to play at the level he wants to play at. This is where Dan has really been valuable to us. He gives great advice and guidance, and also really listens to our sons desires for what he wants to do in baseball. We love how he’s committed to helping our kid reach his goals. We’re very excited to see what our son will be able to accomplish as he continues to work with Dan throughout the season.

Dan Marshall comes with years of professional baseball experience, from his playing days and all the major league coaching he received while being on the roster of various professional baseball clubs throughout Canada, the United States and Europe. Danny's roots run deep with his grandfather and great grandfather both being professional athletes. Marshall's baseball academy will teach anybody who wants to learn the finer details of what it takes to play at the highest level.

Dan helped our son tremendously with his hitting, fielding and pitching. He taught him how to throw the ball harder when pitching off the mound. He also helped him to stay balanced after a swing and much more. After every lesson our son comes home and says he had an “awesome time”. We highly recommend Dan for baseball training and development for your child.

Dan Marshall knows the game from both sides of the foul line. If you are wanting to fine tune your mechanics or looking to start from scratch, I would highly recommend Dan!
