I was turned away from this centre after driving for more than 30 minutes to my appointment that they scheduled at 1:55pm. I was 3 min late past the 2pm mark and there were so many people still sitting at the centre. I have been a donor for the past 2 years donating regularly 4 times a year, the max a woman can donate. Thank you so much for the humiliating experience and rude service. I am never dealing with this institution again

Very friendly staff. The ladies at the reception as well as the nurses greets you with a smile, make sure you are doing ok. This was my first time donating blood and I was little nervous but the whole process was smooth and they help you with a smile and positive attitude. Thank you all for making this experience great. Definitely recommend them as they sanitize all the surfaces after each donation.

The staff and volunteers here are usually good but not always.TLDR: Nurse Magda is the best of the best. The atmosphere is relaxing and welcoming. Drink lots of water.I have been a donor for many years now and whenever Nurse Magda is there, my appointment always is flawless. She always makes me feel comfortable and valued. She is possibly the only reason i have been so consistent with donation. When you are leaving, make sure you get the Mango juice. It's delicious! Some tips for making your time go smoothly, especially as a first-time donor. Drink lots of water beforehand. If you have a stress ball, take it to squeeze or manipulate in your donating arm throughout the process. If you are nervous about the red stuff, ask the nurse to cover up the tubes for you and look away. They have Tv Screens, but the last few times I was there, they weren't on. Create an account ahead of time and fill out the Qpass to save you some time before going into the clinic. If you have a donor card, keep it with you when you go so that you can get it updated and you can earn your donation pins.Sometimes I have been rejected from donating because of a whole myriad or reasons. It is very frustrating, especially when I take time out of my day to go donate and I fill out an eligibility questionnaire ahead of time. I have addressed this with Canadian blood services, but they don't really seem to care whether or not they waste the time of potential donors. I have asked them to make the eligibility clearer ahead of time, but they refuse. This is a big negative for me, but I only remove one star because this isn't a reflection of this location, this is a corporate policy, and it will be the same regardless of location.I also did have one less than ideal donation experience through nurse error (not Magda). I won't go into detail, but I just want you to know that it is a possibility that your donation experience may not be perfect. It was very minor. This happened around my 13th donation.Overall, this place is good. It is convenient for me, and the juice is great.

I had the worst time at this blood donation centre. The minute I entered the front desk lady was showing attitude. I am doing a school project where I am promoting blood donation so I asked for some brochures to take and distribute and she said I can take one. I asked for a few more and she said that they needed them. I don’t understand why she’s being so stingy over brochures that cost next to nothing to distribute. When asked about recording about my own arm with no other people in the background and no audio she demanded I call corporate to ask for permission. When my friend tried to ask why she we weren’t allowed to have more brochures or record myself, she threatened to call security. This place and this worker genuinely have no care for people and it has deterred me from donating blood. This was my first experience and it wasn’t a good one. To be this unreasonable and rude to someone who’s trying to promote your services. Get better

The staff here, particularly the phlebotomists, are generally kind and considerate, which, along with its convenient location, is why I choose to donate blood here. Just a heads up, donating blood can sometimes be a lengthy process, so set aside at least an hour for your visit. I hope your experience, including any recovery time, goes smoothly. Thanks for being awesome and for donating. If you're interested, read on for more about my experiences with this donation center.Point A) It's important to heed the staff's seating instructions closely. I've noticed that some staff can be a bit harsh when correcting people who've sat in the wrong place. Particularly, there's one staff member whose attitude stands out. Reading other less positive reviews, it seems she's often the cause of unpleasant experiences here.Point B) Over my five years of donating, I've had to deal with this staff member twice. Her manner is quite off-putting, lacking the care and kindness you'd expect. The second time I interacted with her, I seriously questioned my choice to donate. If you're a donor and have to interact with her, know that you're not alone in your experience. If you're a donor or potential one, you can stop reading here. The following are suggestions for this Canadian Blood Services (CBS) location to enhance donor experiences. Firstly, it would be beneficial to establish a mechanism for identifying staff members who negatively affect donor experiences. The problematic staff member doesn't necessarily need to be let go, but her interactions with donors could be limited or supervised. Secondly, staff should be encouraged to guide donors about where to sit more gently and clearly, even if they have to repeat instructions. This is crucial since the layout often changes, confusing regular donors.Lastly, I've revised this review to offer CBS actionable steps to improve donor treatment at this location. While CBS has invited me to discuss these issues further, I believe this review should suffice for them to investigate the matter. Given the numerous negative reviews, many pointing to the same staff member, action should already have been taken to rectify the situation. An apology is appreciated but only meaningful if followed by changes. CBS doesn't need additional emails or calls from me; they have this and other reviews from upset donors as a basis for improvement.I will continue to donate at this location and will update this review accordingly as improvements are made. I urge CBS to take this feedback seriously and to act rather than merely respond.

Donor blood is in short supply. It is in you to give & this team makes it very easy.Online scheduling, friendly greeting at the door, lots of information, screening was friendly & detailed. This was my 135th time donating and best ever needle insertion. Lots of checks and explanations (didn’t know the wrap was for minimum of an hour, two is fine).A two minute rest & check on me then off to the friendly volunteer at the treats table.Take 25 minutes and help save a life!

This was my first time donating blood and I was very nervous but the staff at this clinic soon put me at ease. Right from the time that I walked in the door the staff was friendly and understood how I was feeling. I can't express how nice and professional everyone was to me. I wish I could thank everyone by name but instead I'll give everyone a big thank you. The atmosphere is so uplifting inside this clinic that once you go there you know that you'll want to go back. You ladies are awesome!!!!! I definitely feel that giving you a maximum of five stars is an injustice because you deserve more! Thank you so much.

The RN (Shumaila), the nurses that took my blood, and the refreshment attendent (Jan) made my experience so great! I had some complications after donating and they all made sure I was comfortable and well enough to go about my day. Highly recommend this location! Thank you!

I used to be a regular donor, but after the fiasco I went through this morning, I'm not sure I want to do it again. The staff at this location are incredibly rude & wasted my time. The woman booking me in was extremely judgemental & voiced her opinions on how unorganized I was when I needed a minute to find my donor card. And gave me dirty looks the entire check in.Then after doing everything online to precheck in BEFORE driving close to an hour to get there, I was told I'm now all of the sudden uneligible to donate. My pre-screening questionnaire said otherwise. Not sure I'll ever come back after literally YEARS of being a donor - all because of the staff.
