Dollarama

It has had wonderful upgrades It's clean well-run store. It's definitely worth a visit before Christmas you won't be disappointed.

I usually have a great experience in the dollarama. Except this day, when two employees chose to assume I didn’t speak English or at least their dialect of it and carried on very rudely while my back was facing them about me. I swear since I moved to Orangeville almost two years ago I have never experienced any prejudices but these two happened to be my colour and from my home country but because I wear the hijab they assumed they could get away with such rudeness.

I have been in there a couple of times lately and there has been an employee/manager just screaming and swearing at customers. Very off-putting.

Decent dollarama. Has all the usual stuff. Seems to always have a line and no back up cashiers.

Incredibly rude employee wearing bunny ears is why I’m reviewing. I asked for assistance finding a product she didn’t look at the product I was holding to show her. Apparently opening boxes, stocking shelves while customers shop is more important. All she did was randomly point to no specific area. She spoke down to me as if I was stupid for seeking assistance. “if u don’t see it we don’t have it” I assumed she was having a bad day n carried on browsing. After waiting in checkout lane for the 16 person line up my cashier said “store policy is No personal bags please use a basket” I replied “sorry I don’t shop here often” The bunny ear cashier cut off our conversation even though I was not at her till. Instead of serving her customer she choose to aggressively interrupt by saying “All retail stores do not allow personal bags. You are concealing items! follow all retail store policies do not allow personal bags just use a basket” Her statement offended me so I told her “your choice of wording is an ignorant assumption. Accusing me of stealing before my im done emptying my bag is inappropriate n offensive” The bunny eared cashier continued to speak aggressively so I choose to ignore her rather than engage. Using my bag was not an issue for the 3 employees who witnessed me using my bag including her. The manger also saw me 4 times carrying my items in my bag during the hour I spent in the store. None of the employees or manager advised me to use a basket. There is no signage anywhere in the store including at the entry door that states the no personal bag use policy. I would’ve definitely used a basket had I been aware of this policy. However the bunny ears statement that “all retail stores do not allow personal bags is ridiculously false” 2 stars for the actual cashier I went to as she tried to politely explain the bag policy. She could’ve told the rude cashier that our conversation did not involve her but she didn’t. The male manager deserves 3 stars for his understanding n apology. However he was fully aware of the bunny ear employees attitude based on past complaints. I asked for the awful employees number or name so I can report to corporate but the manager said “store policy doesn’t allow me to reveal identities, just describe her appearance” I will return to this location to verify the employee was reprimanded.The purpose of my visit was to simply spend time while waiting for an appointment so I brought in a bag just incase I purchased items.

Worker there for 2-3 years. Not the best paying as a supervisor, but was great to make good friends. I had been in contact w covid-19, and felt ill. The district manager / manager (pa***) told me to not bother coming back as maybe it was to stressful for working two jobs at the time… not true at all. I just had symptoms.

They always seem to have what we are after

Really good selection of a wide variety of items.

Excellent location. Very clean. Very helpful, my wife wanted a special item and all stores don't have it. So we called ahead and they pulled it and set it aside.

Dollarama always has everything I need at a great price.
