Courteous, efficient, knowledgeable professional service, with always an interesting selection of unusual instruments to consider. This is a great local music shop! They also teach classes and it’s a shop that’s been around for decades. Definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended. They offer some niche products at fair prices. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly.

I've always gone to sound of music for everything.Since I was 14 ive been shopping there. The staff are some of the friendliest people I've dealt with. I have never felt unwelcome even when I just wanted to play some of their guitars for a while. I would buy everything from my ukulele to capos to my wife's piano lessons.We recently purchased a Yamaha keyboard and it was a great experience as always. The staff are knowledgeable, helpful, and the prices are great too. 5 stars all the way!!!

Went in last week to purchase some guitar strings and was greeted by 2 lovely folks. Great place for all your musical needs with a variety of musical instruments. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff to help you find what you're looking for. It was a pleasure to tour the facility while learning the history of their establishment. Will definitely be back. Dean and Dave are fantastic to deal with, I custom ordered a guitar through them, and the process was incredible. Its very refreshing to deal with real musicians who understand the needs of other musicians. They helped me through the entire process, and were incredibly helpful with great communication. I came all the way from Kamloops to shop here, and I won't hesitate to come back again!

What a gem of a store/music lessonS shop. Very outgoing and friendly, knowledgeable couple greeted us and gave us the tour of the shop that started up the same year as the sound of music. Unique guitars available to buy and music equipment. Lessons here I’m sure would be amazing for any student with rooms equipped with everything you need to learn a guitar or violin or piano with staff skilled to match what you want to learn and more. Family business, don’t go anywhere else if you’re looking for a safe, friendly environment for your child or even yourself to learn an instrument.

Im a beginner and I broke my first string. So I went to go buy a new guitar string. I know nothing about guitars at all and they were super helpful helping me figure out which ones I should get. Very kind people and great service.
