My father started with AMI back in 2000; and he saw how much Bob, Janice and the team helped him become a better practice owner and clinician. In 2017, I joined the practice full time after graduating from university with a business degree. I was starting to re-ignite the statistics and AMI practices that has fallen off within our practice. So my father told me I should take their course. I started backwards and did the Executive Basics course, then moved to the Management by Statistics and Formula courses. I have been working with Bob through some consulting hours.I must say, they have helped me become a better manager by managing with data not my gut! Helped me give delegation and direction without feeling guilty. Help me make my father's practice even more successful and turn it into an enterprise.Thank you!

I am relatively new to dental practice ownership and have never received any training in running a practice. I am now part-way through AMI’s program and am very impressed with the help they have been able to provide thus far. Through their courses I have improved my communication skills and have learned to properly interpret, and act upon, changes in practice statistics on a weekly basis. Through their consulting services, I have received valuable guidance in diverse areas of practice ownership including managing employees, advertising, hiring, and scheduling, among others. When we started with AMI, the practice was underwater. Over the course of a year, we attended classes which improved our management techniques and soft skills. Every business owner already has a fundamental understanding of all facets of the business - AMI took that and accentuated the fundamental components of a successful business using first principles understanding. Today, it takes us less than one tenth of the time to manage the practice. Our management is much more effective, it gives the staff a purpose and the numbers speak for themselves. As the co-owner of a dental clinic approaching it's tenth year in operation we've seen significant growth since it's inception. We began as a 5 person operation, have progressed to a 15 member staff and are on the cusp of another expansion involving an office and parking lot renovation in order to hire more staff so we can provide more care to our existing and future patients. Our educational background, though strong dentally, did not include much on how to operate or manage a business. In stepped AMI which, even through a pandemic, has provided us with the educational tools to manage our existing business and expand to the point we can hardly keep up with the physical demands necessary for growth. The courses have been a wealth of information and given us management insight we definitely did not have prior to taking the course. I decided to work with AMI because I wanted to improve company moral. I also wanted to see if I had reached my potential or was there room for improvement. Within a year I had turned my 6000 sq ft natural health centre around completely. I have my practice back.... I have respectful staff and practitioners, and have learned to train the staff properly and hole them accountable for the position, so that I am not the one always fixing problems as they come up.
