I hired Deck Crew to replace our existing pressure treated deck with one made from AZEK PVC decking. As shown in the pictures, the design of the deck included a number of angles and had to accommodate a fairly large tree.When I first met Alex to discuss our project, I found him very easy to talk to and I was impressed with his knowledge of the various deck building materials as well as his sage advice. As we discussed the details of the project including the deck design and framing requirements, I quickly recognized that I was dealing with a competent builder who was passionate about his work and who listens to his customers.  After discussing decking material options, reviewing his portfolio of work and receiving a very competitive price, I wasted little time to hire Alex and his crew. With the work now completed, we are more than satisfied with the results. Our new deck is well built, looks amazing and complements our house and backyard beautifully!Alex and his friendly crew were consistently on sight every day rain or shine working long hours to complete the job within the estimated timeframe. They were very organized in staging materials and always stored their tools and cleaned the worksite at the end of every day. I’m a firm believer that details matter if you hope to achieve a quality product and/or deliver quality services. Deck Crew’s attention to detail and workmanship are outstanding and made for a worry free experience.  For example the exposed screws used to fasten the skirting around the perimeter of the deck were all installed in straight vertical lines that made their appearance more visually pleasing. During the construction process, Alex was very accommodating in expanding the scope of work to include deck lighting and replacing a fence post that was badly leaning.As with any home renovation project adding or replacing a deck to your property is a big investment so it is important to hire the right builder/contractor who will deliver good value for your money. I recommend Alex and his Deck Crew team without hesitation to anyone who is interested in a hassle free construction experience that will yield a quality deck that will stand the test of time.

Our neighbour had a great experience using Alex and his team for a project last year that we decided to use them collectively again for a cedar fence installation. I am very happy we did as the fence looks incredible! They even worked around my annoying request to not step on emerging daffodils. Deck Crew is truly a premium fence builder. We greatly appreciated the entire experience of our work with Alex Kolar and his team. Alex is totally on-line for planning and construction management convenience. He was punctual for all site visits and provided excellent design input and a highly professional quotation. Alex attended on site as scheduled with a hard working crew of four skilled carpenters including himself who completed full work days to complete the project. Deck Crew is very knowledgeable of materials alternatives and is highly experienced with the construction of decks and fences. All fence materials were of high quality. Great care and attention was paid to minimize garden disturbance, and all demolition debris and refuse was neatly organized and promptly removed. Great care and attention was given to the construction to obtain a meticulous build, with a very high level of quality. In particular, we had a curved deck which was not an obvious build but was very well executed with composite materials. The project was superior to the structures being replaced, both from a structural and aesthetic perspective. The extra care and attention to all aspects of our fence construction and resulting product were most satisfying and we highly recommend Deck Crew.
