We had an amazing time in this cozy & cute cabin! You have a wooden stove waiting for you after a long day on the road with excellent dinner warming on the top. The cabin is simple with an outhouse and no running water in the winter but you really don't need that for a couple of days. We loved the warmth of the oven, the light of the petroleum lamps and the great decor. We even saw the northern lights from the bed as it has a window to the north. We loved it so much and we will come back!

Our three day stay at the WALL TENT was simply AMAZING! Beautifully decorated, fantastic bed, and with everything we needed to cook a couple of meals. The highlights for us though were the wood fired hot tub, and Kristy’s cooking. She left us dinner for our first night ready to go in the fridge - Fresh fish burgers along with homemade buns, delicious aioli, and a salad with dressing I could literally drink. In all our travels I honestly cannot think of another place that provides this kind of experience for anywhere near this price. I want to go back when it’s cool enough to light the wood stove!

A gorgeous place to stay along the route to Whitehorse. My only regret is that I only stayed here for one night, this would be an amazing place for a weekend getaway. I stayed in the Cook Lake cabin, beautiful view of the lake and very quiet. Easy to find as it's just off the highway and has markers to look for. Clean and cozy with a full kitchen and a fridge stocked with the basics for breakfast. Homecooked dinner and fresh bread provided for arrival day dinner. Absolutely staying here again.

This cabin is BEYOND! We had a long day on the motorcycle and were so tired when we arrived. The cabin was warm and inviting. Kristy made us fajitas for dinner along with a salad which was perfect for us. The fridge was stocked and so was everything else. She literally thought of everything you would need or want while staying there. We were so impressed by all the work she has put into that place. Not only all the physical labor but the sweet finishing touches that make you feel well taken care of even though you are in the middle of nowhere. We loved that there was no service or internet. We loved that we had to heat water on the stove. We loved the ladder to get to the loft. We hope to be back sometime. Thanks Kristy!

My brother and I stayed in the Vines cabin for a night on our recent roadtrip from Alaska to California. Our short stay in Kristy's beautiful cabin in the Cassiar Mountains was one of the most memorable experiences of our entire trip. The first thing we did was take the provided canoe out on Vines lake which was truly magical. The love and work that has gone into the entire property is amazing. Kristy was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. She even made us fresh bread and dinner and also made sure the fridge and kitchen was well stocked with breakfast food. If you ever find yourself traveling along the Stewart-Cassiar Highway, do yourself a favor and stay here (preferably for more than one night!). I also highly recommend the book Kristy's mom wrote that you can purchase on her website. It is truly inspirational. Thanks again Kristy for such a memorable stay and I hope we will see you again someday!

We only stayed 1 night, but it was unreal! Everything was ready for us after a long day on the road. The homemade dinner and bread for breakfast was incredibly delicious and our puppy had the best time!! Next time we’ll come back for longer :D

Stayed at Vines and Puppies. The A-Frame chalet is magical! Recently renovated, an amazing view of the lake, and private! The meal Kristy provided was also great. Too bad we were on our way to Whitehorse - I would have stayed a few days for sure.

This is one of the most amazing stops we have ever done in our traveled history. Bed was nice, the views were amazing, you're in the middle of a forest with a lake down the hill that you can go canoeing at. Just make sure you read the description since it is an off grid cabin. There is no electricity, no internet, no cellular. There is an outhouse back behind the house and the shower is outdoors. If you are even the slightest bit handicap it might not work, steep gravel Hill to get to the home, and there is a 7 ft vertical ladder you have to climb up to get upstairs to the bed. The shower is hot, there is gas for the stove and oven, and the refrigerator is cold. If all of that sounds good to you the place is absolutely amazing!

A most attractive cabin in an absolutely gorgeous setting, with views of Vines Lake and Needlepoint Mountain. We loved the interior and design of the cabin, as well the wonderful outdoor shower and the surroundings are so worth exploring!Kristy is an amazing hostess who provides you with everything you might need or wish for. A most delicious curry dinner awaited us on arrival and more unexpected delicacies came our way, as well as the awesome experiences like the hot tub soak and the incredible riverboat ride with wildlife viewing. We had the experience of a life time and recommend staying for longer!

I mapped out a 7 day motorcycle ride from Portland OR to Anchorage AK. Because of hours and mileage per day, Vines and Puppies fell naturally into where I wanted to finish Thursday, June 1.The cabin was affordable and Kristy was very responsive to every email question I had. After paying close attention to location instructions I found the place right where she said it would be! After a long and beautiful riding day along a remote highway it was a welcome sight. She had left a casserole dish of spaghetti and meat sauce in the fridge. I heated it in the oven and it was 5 star. The cabin is located out in the sticks, as far as I could tell, and that was the charm of it. The quiet was broken only by the occasional vehicle passing on the highway. It sits on a bluff above a very picturesque lake with seating around an outdoor fire pit. The detached outhouse is part of the charm, as is the outdoor shower. The cabin itself has no electricity other than the refrigerator as far as I could see, but plenty of kerosene lamps (none of which I used because the sun refused to set). Also, no cell service. There is plenty of split wood for the firepit or interior wood stove. The comfortable bed was up in the loft, accessible by ladder, as was the balcony where I enjoyed French press coffee and Pop Tarts the next morning.Of the nine motels/Airbnb's/etc. that I stayed at over the course of the trip, this was may favorite place. It had everything I needed (being off-grid can be a good thing), I got a good night's rest and hit the road the next day. I would have stayed longer to explore the area on foot, but the road called...If you want a romantic place for a few nights, or enjoy fishing, etc. on the nearby lakes, this is the place. If I ever pass this way again, I hope it will be available.
