Country Grocer
Country grocery is a clean, decent grocery store. It's my 2nd choice for groceries only because it's not as convenient for my home location. I find the veggie prices to be similar to other places but with a greater selection. They also have a very nice selection of hot sauces which I was happy and surprised to find.

Overall I like Country Grocer and the Bakery dept. came thru big time with a delicious and heavy German Chocolate cake. Special ordered a day before I was not disappointed by the cake or the price. 1/4 Slab was $30 and worth every penny.

I do like shopping here but can’t give it a 4 or 5 star as the spray they use to clean the meat area is so vile smelling!! My friends and I noticed this (as well as deli workers) and we all agree it’s nasty. Please use another type of spray… I would love to go back but the pungent smell is nauseating.

It is a great story to go to. But I was just there a few days ago. And I thought stuff I wanted was too expensive. Thrifty foods had a better price.

We live closer to a Thriftys but always make the little extra trip to Country Grocer because the quality and variety of veggies are better + we save a lot compared to Thrifty prices. Our bills are noticeably lower when we shop here.

It's got a lot of variety and good bargains on many things. Great bakery and meat department. I used to eat at the deli several times a week because they had good sandwiches and soup, but they stopped giving crackers for the soup so I go elsewhere now. Some places pinch pennies in the oddest way.

Why is the wraps under a heater. There is heat coming down over that isle, so the wraps are warm to the touch. I had to run my hand though the pile of wraps to find same that were not warm in the middle.

Good store, but can you get the lady who makes sushi at Esquimalt Country Grocer to come and teach all the stores how to make sushi? View Royal's is ok, but I'm not going out of my way for it. The lady in Esquimalt puts so much love into her sushi I go out of my way to do my shopping in Esquimalt and pick up some sushi as well.

Great grocery store.I started going to this location for the real cream eclairs and store baked bread. This store has different items that other shops don't carry. Ex. Hotsauce
