Apartments R us

This company is awful. They disregard rules and hate their tenants. Write them a clear polite request and you get ridiculed if you're lucky enough to even get an answer. Do not rent here, keep searching for pet friendly building that are also respectful of pet owners.

I lived at 1158 Yates St this past summer in a furnished studio apartment. I feel I have a responsibility in telling others about my experience with Apartments R Us. These are just some of the issues I faced while living here:-I drove for three days from Ontario. When I got here, my room wasn’t even ready. I had to sleep in a hotel on my first night.-My blinds were broken. It took over three months and over 30 texts and e-mails to finally get my landlords attention and have it repaired.-If you want to spend over $1500 a month for a cheap IKEA furnished studio apartment and dollar-store kitchen equipment, then this is the place for you.-None of the landscaping is maintained. Grass was never cut, flowers not watered. Which is unfortunate, because every other apartment building in the area does an amazing job taking care of their property.-This is a non-smoking building. Fair. But they won’t even let you smoke outside on your own balcony or anywhere on the property.A few good things about my stay: Location. This apartment is very close to downtown, the grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants, etc.Pet-friendly. They will allow dogs to stay with you which I know is hard to find in Victoria.
