Alberta Animal Services has been amazing to deal with, we have adopted a newest member ( a dog) from them. They were kind, professional and above everything else compassionate. The sent pics and videos. They made this experience very enjoyable. Thank you for all that you do.

We had the absolute best experience with AAS! We adopted our sweet 10 week old puppy from them and they were nothing but wonderful to deal with! Our puppy had the utmost care while staying there and they made sure she healthy and comfortable! We had to he best experience with Jenn! Thank so much!! We couldn’t be happier!

My dog got out yesterday because my inlaws left the back gate open by accident. She was posted in my community group and we were on our way to get her when Alberta Animal Services picked her up. I had called and they informed me that I had to pay a bunch of money to get her back and that I'd be ticketed even though this is the first time this has ever happened.I am having a baby tomorrow and don't get paid until next week, when my husband said this to them the lady on the phone said so you don't want her then". My kids and I are heartbroken. It's sad that they care more about the money than reuniting a lost family member."

They love not doing their job and passing it off to anyone else that they possibly can. Yeah why even work to help animals if you don't want you and all you want to do is give other numbers to people who don't want to help. Like I've never met such lazy people.

I adopted this lovely cat from Alberta Animal Services. I wanted a kitten that was not standoffish, one that loved to cuddle, and one that was friendly. I have mobility issues and I live alone and my doctor thought it would be good for me to have a pet. She was right I love my cat.The male kitten I adopted was rescued from a dumpster with his litter mates. They were less than 4 weeks old. The mother cat was no where to be found. Alberta Animal Services bottle fed, housed, and socialized these feral kittens so they could be adopted. Scott my cat was also neutered, de-wormed, and micro-chipped prior to adoption. The manager of Alberta Animal Services hand picked Scott for me based on my needs. Scott is the most cuddly friendly, loyal, intelligent, and gentle cat I have ever met.So before you haters write bad reviews stating they only want money, or the staff is rushed or grumpy or rude etc. educate yourself; all animals that are sold at the adoption center have been abandoned or surrendered, and in some cases abused or left for dead. The staff are dedicated loving people who work hard at their jobs to ensure these helpless animals are not put down, and are healthy and psychologically fit to become great companions and loved family members for animal lovers. A staff member who seems to be rushed could be having a busy hectic day, haven't you ever had a bad day at your job?I find the staff to be knowledgeable caring and dedicated the animals entrusted in their care.

I volunteered for them and the coordinator was nasty! I did everything for my foster and I was treated like a burden. Then she told me she didn't want me! Too bad it's about the dogs not her! I had lots of questions because I was a new foster. I guess that's not ok. She said there was an online group but I wasn't comfortable talking on such a big group. They shouldn't have someone like her in such a sensitive role. People need patience and understanding not her!UPDATE! I foster for a different organization now and the woman that runs it is amazing. I message her whenever I have a question. She is definitely in it for the animals!

Picked up my animal, then had lied to me on the phone. Doesn't answer phone, my dog had been so dehydrated when i got him back, and they could tell me last they had fed him. All they wanted was my money even when explained the situation to them. Hope i never have to deal with these crooks again. I spent hours looking for my dog and they didnt give a care and insinuated that i purposely aloud him to run away. Ridiculous pricing as well oh and a fine that 2 different officers could not get the due date the same.

Seems the animals are in good hands with the people here. We delivered a sweet dog found wandering alone and they quickly uploaded her photo and info. She was reunited with her people next day.

Someone took my dog off my property at the end of her terminal battle with cancer. The staff here lied to us, constantly changing their story to suit thier needs. I was informed the SPCA authorized her veterinary care and said she was taken from a property on rr 223i conviently live on the quarter between the 222 and rr223. They made false accusations of neglect saying the SPCA would not return the dog to me and was investigating a case of sevee neglect and malnutrition(the SPCA got the file 10 says later), The shelter would not acknowledge her failing kidneys or terminal cancer which I had veterinary reports one week old stating. Instead of allowing Ember to return and pass with her family, they came up with 600$ of vet bills, a animal at large fine and shelter fees to have her returned after saying I couldn't have her. The story changed I could take her home with a $1000 price tag. I had to choose between my children's Christmas and abandoning a family member. Embers last few days was extended to 2 weeks with vet visits, being in a cage and missing her family. We never got to say good bye and I would have come into town for her euthinizing so she wasn't alone. In a few months Miss Ember got sick fast. I feel like her best interests were ignored and my dog endured unethical treatment when she only has days left.
